Amazing and insightful trip - Short answer: book your trip and ask for Tomoko! Long review: we had a great time with our guide Tomoko. She led us trough all the stops on our trip with ease and her knowledge about each station and beyond was extraordinary. She could answer all of our questions and some questions were very specific! She is a wonderful and lovely person and she even provided us with towels and umbrellas, cooling kits, etc. We really enjoyed our time with her and we will treasure our memories of this day dearly!

Day of Kyoto - Inspite of the scourging August heat, the tour went excellent. Our guide Satomi was very mindful of us and always accommodates our requested breaks. She made us feel like locals - we liked riding the public transportations. We also get to experience food at Nishiki market. Best of all, she gave us recommendations on where to buy good matcha tea and the bowl set. Overall, your getting the best of Kyoto in a day. Thank you.

A great day covering the main sights of Kyoto! - A great day was spent with our guide Chie. She was informative about the sights visited , organised with the public transport and engaging to chat with. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day getting around Kyoto and the crowds!

First time in Kyoto - An amazing tour of several different areas of Kyoto. Our guide Toshi was wonderful in being organized, super efficient with travel time on subway and bus throughout the day. Toshi was knowledgeable in history and Japanese culture. We were able to see parts we probably would not have gotten to as tourists on our own. Highly recommend a wonderful first day in Kyoto! The best tour of our Japan trip! - Couldn’t recommend this trip more highly! If you’re lucky enough to get Keiko as your guide you won’t be disappointed, she was so friendly & knowledgeable, took so many wonderful photos of us & made the day fun & interesting! Even though you cover a lot of ground (walking) it’s enjoyable & well paced. We had lots of time for questions, an amazing lunch recommendation & doing a private tour meant we got a tour personalised to us. Keiko also gave us a great dinner recommendation & sent through all the lovely photos of us as a keepsake for later! Highly recommend!

Great tour - Tomoko met us at the train station at 8 in the morning, she was very helpful , patient and knowledgeable. She booked a sushi bar for lunch which was a great experience plus we wouldn't have known how it all worked without her. We went to several temples including the magnificent golden temple, great value tour

Excellent cultural experience led by private guide. - Excellent cultural experience. Our guide Kazuo who is a retired English teacher made the day memorable. It was just him, my husband and I. It was nice that he took charge of everything so all we had to worry about was learning and enjoying what felt like a very personalized experience. He met us in our hotel lobby. We took the subway and bus to the different sites. This allowed us to really feel like locals. He gave us valuable information at the sites that you wouldn't know if you were on your own. He also helped translate when we were shopping. He took us to a sushi location for lunch that was excellent. The quality of the food and the freshness can't be beat. We were happy to treat him to lunch, it was not expensive by any means. We were sad to say goodbye to Kazuo. Don't hesitate to book this experience it is worth every penny.
