You’ll have the opportunity to learn about the history and art of Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement) while experiencing the beauty of flowers that adorn Japan’s seasons. Beginners are welcome to join us.

After IKEBANA workshop, you will move to traditional Japanese room for tea ceremony. Let’s display your own Ikebana creations in the alcove of the room. You can see how the master have a tea ceremony, and also you can play a roll as a tea master!

Through this course, you can fully immerse yourself in the charm of Japanese culture through the traditional arts of Ikebana and the tea ceremony.

Additional Information

Your experience with us begins by selecting your favorite flowers from our flower shop. You’ll be amazed by the beauty of the colorful seasonal flowers.

During the Ikebana workshop, you’ll create your own masterpiece, guided by our instructors. Your artwork will be displayed in a tokonoma (alcove) in a traditional Japanese room, where tea ceremony is held.

For those who wish, you’re welcome to take your floral creation to your hotel with you, adding a touch of elegance to your hotel room.

This experience is a time for immersion in nature, showing reverence for it and engaging in self-dialogue. It is a form of meditation.

The artwork in front of you is an expression derived from your past and present. It is recommended for those seeking new Zen experiences.

The owner diverges slightly from classic forms, focusing on bringing out the beauty while respecting the natural form of the plants themselves. It might be likened to a primitive style, evoking a sense of wabi-sabi.

Take the subway Karasuma Line to KITAOJI Station. Walk west, and in 20 min, you will reach us. Take bus No. 9 from Kyoto Station (30 min) or bus No. 37 from Sanjo Keihan-mae in Kyoto City to Shimotoridacho Station, then walk for 5 min.

It’s Warm~~~ - great! It’s located in a anti-tourism street, and the class is in a family-like atmosphere. If you want to find something more private and warm experience, or you are a solo traveler, please come here(⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎)

Best experience - very peaceful and indivdaul - I loved my time and everything I learned about tea ceremonies and Ikebana. Thank you for the respect you have showed me and teaching me how to integrate Ikebana even in my daily life. This was my best booked experience. Highly appreciate it and will always remember :)
