The Golden Pavilion is a three-story structure within the Rokuon-ji temple complex. Each floor showcases a different architectural style, successfully blending shinden, samurai, and zen styles.

Despite its small size, the shrine has a long history, originally established as a purification shrine for imperial princesses appointed as priestesses for Ise Shrine.
Nonomiya Shrine is known for assisting and interceding on behalf of women, attracting many female parishioners seeking love, children, and safe childbirth. Many of the omamori available at the shrine reflect the theme of women’s happiness, with a variety of amulets offered at the shrine office.
