A review from October 13, 2024, highlights the unique experience of this tour:
Unexpected great places to eat - We had a wonderful evening with our guide Eduardo and learned a lot of interesting things about life and food in Kyoto. The food stops were awesome, more delicious food than we could eat. Most of the stops were places we would be too shy to go in as tourists or would not have thought about. Overall it was such a fun experience that we booked another tour with the same company in Osaka.
A Day of Reflection and Discovery
On January 26th, continue your exploration of Kyoto’s cultural landscape with another opportunity to join the Arashiyama Walk, available from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This day promises a mix of clear skies and partly cloudy conditions, perfect for a leisurely stroll through the picturesque landscapes of Arashiyama and Sagano.
Choose to visit the serene Jojakkoji Temple, nestled on the hillside of Mt. Ogura, where the winter foliage creates a tapestry of colors against the temple’s historic architecture. Alternatively, explore the Okochi Sanso Garden, a sprawling villa garden offering panoramic views of the Hozu River and the city of Kyoto.
As you conclude your weekend in Kyoto, take a moment to reflect on the rich cultural tapestry you’ve experienced. The city’s winter tranquility offers a unique opportunity to connect with its history and traditions, leaving you with memories that will linger long after your journey ends.
