Walking Tour of Nishiki Market . . and surrounds - Yohei did a great job explaining the culture & history of Kyoto.
He detailed the walking tour route & all the parts & symbols of each area visited - the canal systems, the narrow streets, the shopping districts, the restaurant areas, the geisha area and the significant Nishiki Market.
Albeit difficult to hear at times simply based on the congested walkways throughout the Nishiki Market we covered a large area of various shops. Yohei did a good job of allowing us time to view the wares of the shops & take numerous photos along the way.

Nice Walk-through market - Our guide was great. Shared lots of interesting facts about Kyoto and Japanese culture. Answered all our questions. He kept at a good pace being older appreciated.

Very helpful tour! - We met with Akari in front of the Minamiza Theater. She was an excellent host and gave us a great tour of the area as we walked towards Nishiki Market. I highly recommend an earlier in the day tour as the street was less crowded and we had more chance to chat with Akari and learn about the different food on offer. FYI: food/drinks are not included in the price of the tour. But you can stop at any booth that peaks your interest and eat and enjoy. Akari helped us order our food. I'm really glad we got this tour or second day in Kyoto because we knew what to look for the rest of our stay. Akari even gave us recommendations for other places to eat in the area. Highly recommend!

Great experience!! - The guide was very kind and friendly!
It was also nice to have explanations on how to use chopsticks.
It was a very good tour that allowed us to experience the local food culture at a reasonable price :)

Great night time food tour - Had an amazing tour with our guide Marino. We found it so relaxing after a busy day of playing tourist all over Kyoto. Highly recommended. One of the best things you can do in Kyoto!

Definitely Recommend! - Marino was an incredible tour guide! She was friendly, informative, and had lovely, chill energy which made for a wonderful experience that didn't feel rushed, but also packed a lot in. We ate amazing food and felt like we experienced all that Nishiki Market had to offer. I would highly recommend this tour and I would ask for Marino. If I ever return to Kyoto, I would do this tour again. Even if you've been to Nishiki Market before, this would be a great experience!

Wonderful Experience! - They took me to places I would not have gone alone.
I enjoyed local ingredients, traditional Kyoto flavors, and Kyoto's fascinating blend of traditional and modern.
Being in touch with Kyoto's unique culinary culture is a unique attraction.

Be prepared for crowds,... - We loved exploring the market, but be prepared for crowds. Have cash on hand. Try to step outside your comfort zone. We loved the new foods we tried.
