• Heian Shrine - After being equipped with your e-bike, we will cycle for about 15 minutes to Heian Shrine. Pedal through the iconic Torii gate as we head towards Ginkakuji.
• Ginkakuji Temple - Experience the serene elegance of Ginkakuji, the Silver Pavilion, often considered Kyoto’s hidden gem. While its golden counterpart attracts the crowds, this majestic pavilion offers a more intimate, authentic glimpse into Kyoto’s history. Learn the story of its creation and enjoy the tranquility it offers.
• Hachidai Shrine - From Ginkakuji, we will cycle for roughly 20 minutes to Hachidai Shrine. Step into a quiet, secluded shrine rich in the history of Shintoism. Here, you’ll explore ancient rituals and spiritual traditions that lie at the heart of Japanese culture, all within a peaceful setting far from the usual tourist paths.
• Enkoji Temple - Discover one of Kyoto’s most enchanting, lesser-known temples, hidden away from the usual tourist routes. Stroll through its tranquil gardens and immerse yourself in the calming embrace of Zen Buddhism. This serene retreat offers a rare glimpse into the true spirit of Kyoto. From there, we will cycle for approximately 15 minutes to Shimogamo Shrine.
• Shimogamo Jinja - On our way back to the starting point, we’ll stop at Shimogamo Shrine, one of the oldest and most historic shrines in Japan. We will then cycle for approximately 20 minutes along the Kamo River back to the start point.
