- さくら日本文化体験 二条城教室 / SAKURA Experience Japanese Culture Nijo Home - Our Tea Ceremony is held at a local teacher’s home, which features a traditional tea ceremony room and a small garden. The ceremony is led by a certified Tea Teacher who was born and raised in Kyoto. We will guide you through the proper manners for Tea and welcome any questions about The Way Of Tea.
Please bring your own socks. We also have socks available for purchase. Children under 12 years old are not permitted. If you bring a child under 12 on the day of the class, you will not be allowed to participate and will be required to pay the full class fee.
After attending our class, you will understand how to enjoy matcha tea and be able to enjoy it at home. Feel free to contact us for reservations or with any questions you may have.
We have renovated our tea ceremony room to be a very authentic Japanese tea ceremony space. You will sit on tatami mats, but chairs are available if needed. We also provide cushions and do not require you to sit in a formal position.
