- While single travelers can book this tour directly, there is a “2 guests minimum” rule to give the tour a GO. in case of a single guest, the session might be cancelled and the guest will be notify as soon as possible, offering a rescheduling, or a full-refund.
- The access to the top of the Monkey Park consists of a short hike (15-20 minutes) through a steep path. Please get comfortable shoes and make sure you are in a reasonable physical condition to do it. Thank you.

- This is NOT a private tour. It’s a group tour that can have up to 12 people.
- Please note that this is a WALKING TOUR, not a bus tour.
- Please note, this tour is APPROXIMATELY 5 hours, meaning it can differ by around 30 minutes before or after the estimated time.
- Our guide will contact you through what’s app on departure time if you have not arrived, so please download WhatsApp prior to this tour. This will make any last minute communication easier between the guide and the guests.
- Please get to the meeting location 15 minutes before the departure time. As we have other groups in the tour, we cannot accept any late guests. If you are late to the tour, YOU CANNOT JOIN the tour and will not be given a refund.

Meet by the taxi stand on the NORTH SIDE of the JR "Saga-Arashiyama" station.
When getting out of the train at the JR Saga-Arashiyama Station, pass the gates, turn RIGHT to the NORTH EXIT, go downstairs, and meet your guide.
Look for the guide wearing a navy cap with "JTA", or a red polo shirt.

Breathtaking views - It was a fun tour! Agustine was very knowledgeable about Japanese culture and history and shared his knowledge with us on the way. The bamboo forest was lovely. Be prepared for the hike up the hills to see the monkeys. The views at the top of the hills were breathtaking - could see autumn colours! Agustine takes excellent photos! Thanks, Agustine!

Highly recommended - Augustine was our guide and he was phenomenal. He is a kind and knowledgeable guide. The tour was perfect for our day trip to Kyoto. Augustine kindly offered other sights/experiences around Kyoto following the tour. Highly recommend this tour!

Beautiful kyoto destination - We had a wonderful day exploring all the wonders of Arashiyama. The entire tour is on foot, more like a moderate to strenuous hike, so please make sure to get a good breakfast before you start the tour. Place is beautiful with a rich history of Japan. Our tour guide, Tom, was very nice and professional, spoke fluent English and gave a very good understanding of every place we visited.

Absolutely amazing and I highly recommend for anyone trying to explore Kyoto! - It was absolutely amazing and every place we went to was really worth it. And our tour guide, Tom, was really nice and knew a lot about every place we went which was very helpful. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to explore the forests and history of Kyoto!
