Great Tour - This was great walking tour. Tom was very nice and knowledgeable. We especially loved hearing about the history of the Ashikaga Shogunate and the temples that were constructed during their dynasty. The gardens we visited were beautiful. Can’t imagine taking this tour during cherry blossom season. It did end up snowing while on the trip. A few group members weren’t the most prepared, but muscled through it. If looking for a condensed tour where you still can visit a few iconic landmarks, this is a good one!

This tour is a perfect... - This tour is a perfect way to experience Kyoto’s natural beauty and culture in one trip. From the stunning Bamboo Forest to the playful monkeys at Iwatayama, every stop was breathtaking. Getting to Iwatayama is a treck but take it slow, if needed, it is definitely worth it

Great tour - A really nice tour! I got a lot more out of it than if I had gone alone. Agustin was knowledgeable and told us a lot of interesting stuff, but he also knew when to just let us experience the place for ourselves - a perfect balancing act.

Charming side of Kyoto - Our day started with snow in Kyoto, our guide Tom greeted us warmly. It quickly turned out that Tom speaks German, so he kept our entire tour in German. But don't worry his English is just as perfect. Despite the icy roads, Tom guided us safely around the area. He has an incredibly great knowledge of the landscape and history. He could tell us something about so much. He was incredibly fun to listen to. Walk through the bamboo forest, shrine and temple to beautiful gardens. Beautiful views and more stories. Small stopover to recharge your batteries or something to eat, he has also built in. Tom was super flexible. Also because I wasn't sure how to make the hill to the monkeys, as there were some stairs and my knee didn't want to go along with it. It can seem a bit steep for some, but there are many stops with benches to take a quick breath. Tom was super attentive. At the end of the tour he gave us many recommendations. We felt super safe all the time and are very satisfied. We can only recommend this tour to anyone! It's best to bring a small backpack where a water bottle fits in and good non-slip shoes and if it's possible ask Tom in advance if he can be your guide!

Excellent walking tour - This small group tour was great. Our tour guide Augustine was lovely and knowledgeable. The monkey park was excellent but the walk up there would be pretty challenging for anyone with walking difficulties.

100% recommended! - Tom was a great host. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Tour was done at a good pace. Not rushed but packed a lot in. After the tour tom took us to a sake shop for a tasting and even instructed us on which trains to use to get to fushimi inari. Would absolutely recommend this tour, well worth it!
