- While single travelers can book this tour directly, there is a “2 guests minimum” rule to give the tour a GO. in case of a single guest, the session might be cancelled and the guest will be notify as soon as possible, offering a rescheduling, or a full-refund.
- The access to the top of the Monkey Park consists of a short hike (15-20 minutes) through a steep path. Please get comfortable shoes and make sure you are in a reasonable physical condition to do it. Thank you.

- This is NOT a private tour. It’s a group tour that can have up to 12 people.
- Please note that this is a WALKING TOUR, not a bus tour.
- Please note, this tour is APPROXIMATELY 5 hours, meaning it can differ by around 30 minutes before or after the estimated time.
- Our guide will contact you through what’s app on departure time if you have not arrived, so please download WhatsApp prior to this tour. This will make any last minute communication easier between the guide and the guests.
- Please get to the meeting location 15 minutes before the departure time. As we have other groups in the tour, we cannot accept any late guests. If you are late to the tour, YOU CANNOT JOIN the tour and will not be given a refund.

Meet by the taxi stand on the NORTH SIDE of the JR "Saga-Arashiyama" station.
When getting out of the train at the JR Saga-Arashiyama Station, pass the gates, turn RIGHT to the NORTH EXIT, go downstairs, and meet your guide.
Look for the guide wearing a navy cap with "JTA", or a red polo shirt.

Great Tour - I highly recommend this tour is you want a full experience of Kyoto! He was very easy to find once arriving from the station, and every step of the way was super informative. Even had a few breaks in between to read a bit as well as lunch break which allotted some time for sim exploring or the cute shops around the village. For us, the best part was the bamboo forest and the monkeys!

Fabulous day trip - A great day out, Kareem our guide was very knowledgeable,fun and happy to share good lunch tips. There is a lot to see and having someone guide you, I feel we got to see a lot.

All Around Arashiyama - The walking Tour was great. Our guide Tom was amazing and very knowledgeable about everything we thought to ask about. Arashiyama has so many tourists and even still tom was able to occasionally find spots where you could take a breather and actually learn about the area. Would highly recommend doing this tour.

Highly recommended - Excellent tour with our guide Tom who went above and beyond to ensure our group had a memorable day. Tom was very friendly and informative and took us via routes to minimise as much as possible the impact of the crowds, especially in the Bamboo Forest. Tom was very knowledgeable about the culture, history and background of the temples, shrines and other places he guided us through. The Monkey Park was worth the effort of getting up to the top of the mountain with a stunning view of Kyoto. Highlight was an off script sake tasting that Tom took us to.

This was possibly the best tour I've been on! - Tom was an excellent guide. He was very thoughtful for the group and informative about each spot! We walked through the bamboo forest, tasted his favourite local donuts and hit some other hidden gems! The walk up to see the monkeys was more like a hike up a mountain, so be aware THIS IS A WALKING TOUR!
The walk itself was beautiful and Tom guided us through the busy crowds with ease, letting us find some small pockets of space to really enjoy the experience.
