Just Do It! - John was an amazing guide! I cannot say enough great things about this tour. Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. Crabbing and fishing were so fun and the extra little trip to the island was well worth it. If you are looking to get away from the busy city and interact with locals then this is the tour for you. I never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. Well worth the money!!

A great adventure for the family - Let me start by saying that I really appreciate the owner reaching out to coordinate our trip from the pick up at the hotel to what we need to bring. Made it easy and comfortable. Our tour guides were so very nice and wonderful with kids. We really enjoyed getting off the beaten bath, seeing the outdoors and learning about the lifestyles of others (the crab / fisherman)

BOOK IT IMMEDIATELY 🤎 - This was my absolute favorite excursion of all time! So glad I booked this. Our guide John was PHENOMENAL. Cannot state enough how great he was. We're even booking him again for tomorrow. He made sure every aspect of this experience was informative and fun. Daniel our fishing expert was also amazing. So patient and encouraging. They really wanted you to master the skills they were showing you. We did a pit stop on fisherman Island where Enrique played drums for us, made us delicious coconut drinks, showed us native plants from his garden, and we got to visit his terrapin farm. We met Luna, a spicy kitty, tons of friendly local pups, a couple tortoises, and apparently they usually have raccoons but it was mating season so they were busy LOL. They packed so much knowledge and culture into this experience. We got to visit a fishing village, fish with a local fisherman, explore the mangroves, eat lunch on the beach while they cooked our catch. And honestly even if you don't opt to have them cook the crabs for you the included lunch was delicious on its own. I'll remember this one forever, truly the highlight of my trip 🫶🏾

Great day in the Mangroves - Last day in Colombia - absolutely beautiful blue skies and hot/humid in Cartagena, so a great day to be on the water. John picked us up near our AirBnB in the old city, 20 minute drive to the village where we took off in a small boat. Our boys had a great time placing the cages and then collecting the crabs. We had multiple opportunities to throw a fishing net - although I think that's more for fun than to really catch any fish. John and our local fisherman did a great job taking us through the mangrives. We had a great lunch and for a small fee got to eat the crabs we caught. Great half day experience and would recommend it to anyone interested in nature.

Worth it 100% - I have to say, all the people that had a part in this were wonderful. We loved the net- fishing, setting traps, and the boat ride. The food was delicious and the presentation was on point. Definitely something we will cherish for years to come when we talk about our trip to Colombia. Getting away for the tourism atmosphere and into the local way was amazing. Definitely something you can't experience everywhere. Thanks guys.

Amazing Experience - After reading reviews, I know that I wanted to add this excursion to my list. Let me share that this was far beyond my expectations. Michael communicated once we confirmed the tour. He answered questions and was more than effective, even making suggestions for other events while we stayed in Cartagena. Our local Guide, Andres was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. He was efficient, thorough, patient, fluent in English and Spanish, and amazing with the local community. Once he picked us up, his smile gave us the great welcome we needed. We started with a quick drive to the small town. Andres shared the history of the locals, their love for the water, and how it contributes to their livelihood. We started the day early to avoid the heat, but there's no way around that. Illias, our fisherman showed the kids and I how to wrap the fishing net around our hands and gave a tutorial on how to swing the net. With the fish caught, we learned to cut it open and use them as bait for the crabs. A small tour in between each throw as we waited for the crabs to enter the cage. This day was intentional and we never felt rushed. Once crabbing was completed, we then head over to a local family who have a small restaurant to cook the crabs as an added amenity. Mrs. Anna was so kind and gracious to share her space with us. The kids loved helping her. Once she got started cooking, we got to enjoy their hammocks as the kids played at the beach. Once lunch was completed, it was either chicken or fish with the caught crabbed they cooked. We absolutely enjoyed this tour. Coincidently, there was a horseman riding his horses while we enjoyed the beach and we paid him to ride as well. What a day! I will never forget it.

Amazing Experience! - Wow, where do I start? Such a fun experience, the locals in La Boquilla were very welcoming and helpful. We managed to catch over 15 crabs and a couple of small tilapia. Lunch was great and served right in front of the beach! From pick up to drop off our translator John was so helpful and gave us recommendations for places around Cartagena! Must do experience when visiting! Michael does an amazing job of making sure everyone is taken care of!
