Cocktail lovers 2025 - What a better way to end the year than on a Sips and Smiles cocktail tour! We had such a great time. Everything was first class at the same time eclectic. Highly recommended for ALL cocktail lovers.

A cocktail lovers dream! - We are a cocktail-loving family, so when we heard about the Sips and Smiles tour, we knew we had to sign up. Each stop on the tour was unique, and the cocktails we tasted were nothing short of spectacular! Maryrose, our amazing guide, even gifted us the recipes for the drinks we enjoyed, so we could recreate the experience at home. We've already decided that once we're back, we'll throw a cocktail party featuring the delicious drinks we tried in Mexico with Maryrose. It was truly a memorable experience that we’ll cherish – highly recommend for anyone who loves great drinks, fun, and discovering local flavors!

Must do tour to enjoy real local food and drinks !! - We live in Monterey and know very little about the south of Mexico. We heard there is a new up-and-coming beach area called Huatulco on the coast of Oaxaca. We booked our tickets and off we went and did we make a good decision. We had fun from the minute we landed. To get things off to a roaring start our first night we booked a tour called Sips and Smiles. Each cocktail was created by a mixologist from Oaxaca. There was also an excellent mezcal tasting. The variety of locations made the tour so interesting. The staff at each stop were more than accommodating which made us feel so special. Maryrose our wonderful guide looked after our every need and she was SO much fun. The cocktails were half pours so not only did we thoroughly enjoy ourselves, we were rested to explore our second day in Huatulco. Maryrose was forthcoming with her inside information and this significantly contributed to our wonderful holiday!

PHENOMENAL Tour with Maryrose in Huatulco - We had SO much fun with our guide Maryrose! She's so generous with her time and recommendations and we'd recommend this to ANYONE and EVERYONE! Maryrose knows all the local spots to visit - The mezcal tasting in particular was unbelievable - the owner is a real character and matches his clients shots. His family has been making mezcal for over 200 years, and the mezcaleria was something new and totally different for us. HIGHLY recommend this, it wouldn't have been the same if we hadn't met Maryrose!

Up & coming beach destination - I was invited to join my college roommate and her besties for a bachelorette party. The event was going to be held in Bahias de Huatulco on the coast of Oaxaca. I had never heard of Huatulco and was a little skeptical. I have been to Cabo, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Merida, etc (we live in the southern US and Mexico is an ideal vacation location for us). One evening we arranged to go on a private cocktail tour called Sips and Smiles. All the cocktails were created for Maryrose (our incredible guide) by a Oaxacan mixologist. The drinks were served in beautiful glassware. The cocktails were unique and delicious. The mezcal tasting was awesome! We would never have been able to find the mezcalaria on our own nor would we have sampled mezcal. The owner Omar gave a tutuorial on this special alcohol. We had so much fun there. You have to see the bar to understand our enthusiasm. The cocktails are half-pours so no one had a headache the next morning. Maryrose shared her knowledge of the area and explained that Huatulco is poised to be the next big destination to holiday in Mexico. I could not agree more with only five short days to absorb Huatulco. I would advise you to hurry and visit before it explodes with tourists. At the end of the tour Maryrose gave us the recipes of the cocktails we enjoyed to take home with us. Nice touch!

Lovely evening and encourage you to do the same. - Last night, my husband and I along with other guests went on The Cocktail Tour with Next Stop Huatulco. The tour was so well done. Beautiful glassware, original cocktails, mezcal tasting, custom salsa, recipe cards with cocktail recipes to take home with us. I am posting this review promptly because I want to thank Maryrose (our guide). She made us all feel so welcome and truly eager to provide a special experience. Maryrose you succeed!

If You Want to Try Some New and Different Mexican Cocktails - MaryRose is an amazing guide! I’ve never experienced a tour like this! She takes you to five different locales with five different specialty cocktails-all incredible! Mezcal, which seems to be the favorite local libation of Oaxaca, was nothing like I had experienced before. Earthy and delicious! Tip-these are not drinks to be thrown back but to be savored and enjoyed. The layers of flavors are delightful! And MaryRose is too! She is so open to helping first timers and is full of fun advice for the area and really all of Oaxaca and the region. Experience this! You won’t be disappointed!

Great experience - We had never been on an experience quite like Sips and Smiles. Our host Maryrose is one of the most personable people we have met. We visited 5 destinations which consisted of bars, restaurants and a mezcalaria and sipped six cocktails that a Oaxacan mixologist created just for this tour followed by a mezcal tasting. Our drinks were served in beautiful and colorful etched glasses made her in Mexico. Each drink was like receiving a little gift. Maryrose answered any questions that we had about the local area and shared great tips for the remainder of our stay. Maryrose gave a gift of the cocktail recipe cards to take home. We would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Huatulco.

Great experience in Huatulco - Great experience, especially if you consider yourself a bit a mixologist. If you like cocktails this is your tour. The mezcal tasting was a very enlightening experience as we never heard of this alcohol. Thankfully the drinks are served in half portions so you can keep sipping and smiling. Thank you MR.
