Must see in La Digue, our #2 beach in the world. - One of the best beaches in the world, probably our #2 in Seychelles, only Anse Cocos gave us a more positive impression. Absolutely stunning, and the trail is even more amazing than the beach itself! But please consider hiring a guide if you are not a professional hiker - some paths are not obvious and the rocks might get really slippery after just a short drizzle. My wife was quite scared of some parts of the road – thankfully, Ted from Sunny Trail assisted her when needed.

Very beautiful brown cove hike - A hike starting from Grand Anse and arriving (by sea) at Anse Source d’Argent. Magnificent landscapes between the ocean, granite rocks and forest. Gérard knew the route perfectly, as well as the flora and fauna. Anse Marron is a magnificent natural pool with many fish where it is very pleasant to take a pose. The woven pandanus basket filled with fruit is delicious! A somewhat sporty route, bring suitable shoes and clothing, including in the water. Gérard was great, he helps us and shares everything he sees. We had a very pleasant day

Unique experience - Gerard is an excellent guide who comes from the island and can tell a lot of interesting facts and stories. The route is very varied: rocky, sandy, shady, sunny, wet... and incredibly entertaining. We simply had a fantastic day. I would give the following tips to anyone interested. At least 1.5 liters of water per person, sunscreen and insect repellent, hat and water shoes. You can put the shoes on at the start of the hike, so you don't need hiking boots or sneakers, otherwise you'll have to lug them around in your backpack for 80% of the time. Snorkeling equipment also proved useful. At the swimming spot we had an incredible number of fish right under our feet. Gerard was a very attentive and helpful guide who provided a delicious snack at lunchtime. The tour should only be undertaken by fit, sure-footed people. When you see children or older people in some of the other reviews, I imagine this is very challenging for the people themselves, the group and the guide.

Definitely do it - We did the tour with Gerard. Gerard was in a good mood and motivated. He told us and showed us a lot about the flora and fauna. We saw birds, millipedes, sharks and much more. You should take enough water with you and not be unathletic. We would definitely do the tour again. It was a great little adventure. Angela and Sven

Absolutely fantastic! - This was the perfect tour! Not a simple walk in the park, but instead small challenges and great awards to what the nature can offer! Absolutely fantastic with beautiful hidden beaches. Highly recommended with the best guide! Greetings from Norway! 👍😊

Incredible day! - Incredible day spent with family! (our youngest child at 11 years old) Thanks to our guide Gérard, our day was full of discoveries! Departing from Grande Anse to Anse Source d'Argent, we crossed the tropical forest, the rocks and discovered Anse Marron, this little corner of paradise with crystal clear water where a beautiful swim accompanied by a refreshing lunch took us been prepared with great care. Gérard is a real Robinson, passionate about his island and very reassuring in difficult passages: we highly recommend! However, be aware that this outing requires good fitness and suitable equipment (well-adhering shoes or sneakers to cross rocks wet from tropical rains!) 😉

Beautiful nature, knowledgeable guide, challenging yet amazing tour - The tour with Gerard was one of the highlights of our trip. Gerard is extremely knowledgeable and shared so much interesting information about the Seychelles and its nature. His daughter also joined the tour and it was a delight to be a tiny part in a day of the life of an island child, which is so different from our own. In summary, the tour is visual and also culinary highlight, as Gerard let us taste various plants along the way. He also provided a delicious snack at Anse Marron. While the tour is challenging, we always felt safe with Gerard as our guide. We cannot recommend the trip enough. It’s also a very fair price and we want to recommend to tip Gerard for his great work. P.S.: bring strong sunscreen. The sun surrounding the equator is merciless.

A Thrilling and Memorable Adventure - This full-day excursion was the highlight of our multi-island visit to Seychelles. It met our expectations and more. Our guide, Gerard, was amazing. He led us through an exhilarating and physically challenging adventure through beaches and the forest. We also did a good amount of boulder climbing. Along the way, Gerard described the local flora and fauna, which was spectacular. Once we arrived in Anse Marron, we relaxed for more than an hour on the beautiful beach. Gerard also treated us to a delicious lunch of fresh fruits and baked fish turnovers. This is a must-do excursion when visiting La Digue if you can handle the physical activity and bring the recommended supplies/gear (i.e., bottled water, water shoes, sunglasses, etc.).
