Great experience - Great experience, fantastic nature, indeed it is phyiscally challenging - mostly due to the temperature and humidity. „Never walk alone“ - do not hike this trail without an experienced guide. Gerrad - fantastic explanation of nature and history.

The most beautiful beach on La Digue - Excellent tour in La Digue with a very nice tour guide (Gerard). Amazing scenery. Bring plenty of water, good running/hiking shoes and water shoes.

The best local guide for Anse Marron! - Gerard is super friendly, attentive and strives to ensure the safety of the whole group. He explains a lot about the background of the island, the food and naming culture and has answers to every question. The lunch basket was handmade with love. You can feel that he’s a proud local who is eager to show you the best what La Digue has to offer! I strongly recommend going on this tour with him! Thank you Gerard!!

Great effort even greater reward! - It was a breathtaking tour with our guide Gerard! We can confirm 100% the information that a basic fitness should be present. In the morning we started together with Gerard at the Grand Anse before we went through the jungle towards Anse Songe. Once there, however, it really started. Over, under and through the picturesque granite cliffs we are wet sweaty but thanks to Gerard safe, after almost 2 hours arrived at Anse Marron. We can only say the effort was absolutely worth it! On site we were able to go swimming for almost 1.5 hours and were provided with a small lunch (fruit + some fish). Finally, we went through the jungle, grant rocks and water to Anse Source D’Agent, where Gerard said goodbye to us. Unfortunately we could not enjoy it there anymore to the fullest because we were quite tired after the almost 6 hours of hiking. But we can say that this effort was absolutely worth it and we would do it again at any time! A big thank you goes especially to our great guide!

Must-do must-do - Gerard's group being complete he entrusted us to his colleague Stenio. Stenio was perfect he told us a lot about his island and nature. Very nice and funny! The tour is great. Good walking shoes and rock shoes should be provided and ideally waterproof backpacks. The rendezvous is at the heliport at the entrance of the Anse Source d argent park then a small bus takes you to Grand Anse. The walk leaves from there to reach Anse Source d'argent with an extra stopover in Anse Maroon where Sténio served us a small meal composed of fruits and samossas. Delicious. We spent 2 hours swimming in beautiful natural pools on the right when looking at the ocean. It is a kind of canyoning with passage in and under rocks and in the Water. Thank you!!

A memory for a lifetime with one of the most genuine person - Gerard - Gerard is such a beautiful human ! So knowledgeable, humble, fun, helpful and charismatic - it was an honor and a pleasure to have spent this time and do this tour with him. Definitely it is a memory which will last a lifetime ! Highly recommended ! Please pay attention to the details in the description - water shoes are a must and not optional, as parts of the tour are going to be thru the water shoreline, you’ll be deep in the water till your waist walking on underwater rocks and corals. I recommend long leggings as you’ll have to pass thru narrow boulders / rocks paths or slide on it which might cause grazings of skin. Sunscreen, mosquito repellent - if you know that they love your blood type, and a cap are highly recommended, same as a good pair of trainers or trekking shoes. The light lunch is actually pretty fulfilling - lots of fruits, banana bread and samosas beautifully served in a handmade green palm basket. Thank you Gerald for one of the best times i had in my entire life 🙏🏻🙏🏻.

Fabulous!! The best memory of our stay! - The best day of the stay!! Gerard is passionate and exciting. Hiking is physical and you have to be well equipped, but totally accessible. The more complicated passages in the rocks are provided by Gerard who really secures very well. We were lucky enough to be a single couple with him and really it was memorable. He is funny, explains many things, is very respectful of nature and animals, really we did not want it to end! Lunch is light but more than enough! Thanks to Gerard we were able to handle without fear crabs, centipedes and spiders (innofensive) which was really an experience! Thanks again to him ☺️
