Exceeded expectations. Great experience. - A fantastic experience. Gerard is super relaxed and introduces you to nature on the tour super interesting. Expectations were high due to the good reviews and were still exceeded. Worth every euro. One should be aware, however, that the trail is quite challenging and requires a certain physical fitness.

Many thanks to Gerard - A beautiful sports excursion between rocks, jungle and sea, in addition to a guide we were accompanied by an expert from Seychelles and its fauna and flora. Discovering the vegetation and tasting wild coconut was a wonder. Many thanks to Gerard for this day of sharing with a lot of kindness. Be careful to have a good physical condition. Gerard helped me overcome the obstacles and the group was very kind.

A great experience - It was an extraordinarily special experience. Gerard, our guide, was really great. Despite a lot of rain we fought through nature and over the rocks. Gerard also told a lot about the history and flora and fauna. On the beach there was then a fruit platter to strengthen before we started the way back. All in all, you should already be fit for this trip. It was definitely a lot of fun.

To do without hesitation - We had a great time with Gerard. We feel passionate about his island, respectful of fauna and flora. Always on the lookout in the forest to make us discover animals, plants .. the snack was presented in a basket braided by him! GƩrard was kind and always there to help us in the more difficult places to pass during the hike. We recommend!

Anse Marron with Gerard - just top - Super tour to the, for us, most beautiful beach on La Digue. Anse Marron is a dream. Without a guide but not recommended and we like to go hiking and a lot. It is quite demanding in some places, even in some cases very tight. But Gerard knows where to step and guides you great. He tells very interesting things about the animals and plants and makes a great fruit basket for lunch.

Superb and challenging tour - Gerard was a very nice, funny and attentive, helpful guide. The tour went over plantations, through the jungle, we crossed mighty granite formations, through rock holes and crevasses, it went through the water over the beach. At noon there was a picnic basket, lovingly prepared at the stand.

Wonderful experience - The tour with Gerard was very good, he showed us a lot, even with humor, and explained a lot to the local nature. It was fun. The tour was demanding in between, he gave us assistance at all times when we need it. On the day of our tour there were three plus guide, which was perfect. The hiking trail as well as the places where we stayed for breaks were fantastic. We also had time to snorkel

A beautiful & challenging hike - This was one heck of a spectacular adventure. This 5+ hours hike took us on so many terrains...deep into the tropical forest, on open fields, on sand, thigh deep in water (I'm short), in between and high on the giant granite boulders. The views were amazing the whole way through....and the forest was beautiful as well. I'm a hiker and this is one of my all-time favorite hikes, and a very challenging one for me. We are ages 64 and 68.. Navigating through the boulders was not a walk in the park and Gerard got us through safely. At the end of the hike, with the sun beating down on us half the time, I was very tired but was so thrilled that I finished. We had an hour to play or relax on the beach while Gerard prepared a light lunch of various fruits (papaya, pineapple, banana, apples, oranges) and a bit of fish samosa. Everything was delicious, and much needed as we were quite tired by then and needed some good energy food Gerard is a cool, health conscious, man of nature. He knows and cares a lot about all living things in the forest and on the beach. Gerard is a wealth of knowledge and if you are fortunate to get him as your guide, you will have a great time going through all that La Digue has to offer with him.

Not for everyone—be warned - THIS IS NOT A TRAIL FOR EVERYONE. - there are tight spaces to squeeze through, and you must be able to bend over, climb over rocks, duck for low clearances and have good stamina - parts of this trail are dangerous/technical and would not recommend for kids <8 or adults who have joint problems/pain or are not in good physical condition For us it was a good experience—girard was knowledgeable and the food for lunch was good. But I was super surprised at how dangerous this was.
