Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges is one of the most visited tourism attractions in La Fortuna within a 250-hectare (618 acre) reserve of primary forest. It is located between the edges of two types of forest, highland and lowland, and integrates both.
Visitors who love nature can enjoy 15 bridges from 5 to 100 meters long, friendly design along 3.2 km rain forest circuit of interpretive trails built with paving blocks to prevent slipping. The bridges are built of aluminum, galvanized steel, and concrete, to ensure maximum security for the visitors and were designed by structural engineers with the most demanding safety margins in the world.
Guided by a naturalist, who through the natural history will open for you the doors of a fascinating and colorful Tropical Rain Forest world. The imposing vistas of the Volcano from the hanging bridges over the forest, make a perfect combination for an unforgettable experience.

Guided tour is the way to go! - Highly recommend, our guide Nelvin was amazing! So patient and friendly and just an incredibly knowledgeable guide. Took the time to patiently answer everyone’s questions in both English and Spanish. Couldn’t recommend the tour with guide more! Really made the day incredibly memorable.

Nelvin was a great guide - Nelvin was a great guide. He spotted a lot of wildlife for us was my mental support to overcome fear of height on the hanging bridges. Excellent English and lots of tips about CR. Thank you.

Essential! - The best way to see the tropical humid rainforest. Very safe bridges. The views are 10. It is a visit that cannot be missed. Easy route to do. It lasts approximately 1 hour and a half. Don't miss the waterfall.

Excellent guided tour - Amazing tour of Mistico Hanging Bridges with Kristel! She was one of the few guides with a camera with a zoom lens (vs a telescope) which made for excellent viewing of so many animals and fantastic photos we got to take with us! Her English was top notch and she was so knowledgeable. Thank you!

Brilliant guide and tour - Our guide Kristel was brilliant!
Not only was she really friendly, she knew so much about the nature and wildlife around us. It really brought the whole tour alive, we'd never have got so much out of it on our own.
Then on the drive back, we chatted and learnt more about life and current affairs in Costa Rica, which was also fascinating.
And to round it off, she sent us photos of the wildlife we'd seen on our tour, which was very thoughtful, and gave us lasting memories of our time in Costa Rica.

Guides are what make this awesome! - Had a wonderful time on this adventure! Nelvin was our guide and the wealth of knowledge was amazing. He was great at finding wildlife and taking pictures for you. Shuttle arrived on time and the driver, Herman, was safe and really friendly!

Use Kristel! - The hanging bridges was such a fun experience. Not only is it beautiful there is so much to see! That being said we wouldn’t have seen nearly as much without the help of our guide Kristel. I cannot say enough about her! She was absolutely amazing!!! She was patient, knowledgeable, friendly and she made this such a wonderful experience.

Mistico Hanging Bridges - We were split into groups according to language spoken. Our guide like all guides brought a telephoto lens on folding legs. He was most informative. The information was not at a child's level. We took our time to enjoy the sites - flora and fauna.
The tour was deep into the Rain Forrest with many long SAFE and SECURE hanging bridges. This tour is a real gem !

Wonderful - Beautiful place but our guide kristel made the experience amazing- she was kind, knowledgeable and made sure we had the best experience. So many birds and insects and reptiles. Even saw monkeys. Highly recommend this tour and if you can book Kristel Rojas-leon as your guide.

A glimpse into the most enchanted forest - A visit to this park is a must do -- providing a wonderful way to engage with the rich biodiversity that exists within Costa Rica. I highly recommend touring with Kristel R León. With her well trained eye, expert knowledge, and desire for guests to experience the beauty that is Costa Rica, a walk in the park becomes an exploration into a hidden world too easily missed without the assistance of this remarkable guide.
