Great time for a medium intense hike - We had an amazing time with Joudan and Emmanuel today. They were committed to giving us a great experience. Before we even got to the hiking spot, they stopped twice so we could look at toucans. Joudan did a great job guiding us through the jungle and educating us along the way. Joudan was also patient and thoughtful when one member of our group had difficulties. This is not a trek for novices, if you don’t exercise regularly this is not for you - we ascending many steep and muddy trails. Along the way you can swim in a river pool. Make sure you wear shoes you don’t mind getting wet that have good traction. After the hike we had the Costa Rican lunch, we wanted to come back another day but didn’t have time. Finally, we stopped right before our hotel because Joudan knew there was a sloth sighting there a few days before. The sloth was still there, which was the icing on the cake. Others joined us as they were passing by to admire the sloth. Even a family of monkeys stopped by. Overall this one experience made our entire vacation worth it. I want to come back and do several other packages - if we do we will request Joudan and Emmanuel. You should also request them.

Experienced hikers dream - My husband and I did the extreme jungle hike yesterday. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and we had the time of our lives. It was just the three of us on private property bordering the national childrens forest. Our guide said he’s only run into another person on that hike one time. It was incredibly remote and the trail was skinny and difficult. It was about 3.2 miles total but it took us 2 hrs 45 min with stops at two different waterfalls. The waterfalls and jungle were breathtaking. We have never experienced anything so remote and beautiful. If you love a challenging hike and want to really get the jungle experience, definitely do this. It was a once in a lifetime experience.

Great, time to spend in wild - Incredible place. Non turistic trip were you can enjoy rainforest. Guide was really nice, showed a lot of birds. But still this is not a zoo, so you will have to find all species by your self with guide.

Amazing hiking and waterfall experience - It's a long hike (6 hours) but done at a manageable pace with lots of pauses to learn about the forest, the animals, and the country. Bryan had lots of information to share and was super nice company as a guide for our small group of the day. Recommendations for travelers: - Wear your swimsuit under your clothes. Swimming at the first waterfall is a highlight. I don't know where else you'd be able to get right into a waterfall of this size. - Wear shoes for hiking that are going to get wet. You cross through a few rivers and there's no way to avoid stepping in the water. - Have a big breakfast and pack some snacks. Lunch is delicious, but it's at the end of the hike. We were glad to have some granola bars in our bags to snack on our way.

Great adventure hike and swim in a waterfall - Great hike through the jungle, visiting 2 waterfalls and swimming in the first waterfall. Hiking about 11K about 6 hrs. Bryon the guide was very friendly, knowledgeable about the plants, animals and history of CR. Highly recommend this hike. Yummy lunch provided after with fresh fruit, burrito sandwiches.
