Jacamar Naturalist Tours & Arenal Volcano Hike - David was our guide on the "medium" hike at the base of the Arenal Volcano. We learned so much about the history of the area and the volcano as well as the wildlife and fauna. It was quite hot and humid the day we went and I was extremely happy to see our driver Miguel and his air conditioned van at the end of the hike - but it was well worth it. Would definitely do it again! We were also treated to a delicious lunch at the restaurant at Jacamar's farm.

Energizing scenic and informative hike - Melanie was very informative and friendly. She tailored the tour to our group's level. The views were beautiful. Our driver was very skilled and also served us delicious snacks and drinks afterwards. Highly recommend going early before the crowds. Weather is best in the morning in rainy season.

Fun & Informative! - Kevin was our guide for this tour. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the volcano, its history and ecology. The hike itself was rigorous for those who don’t hike elevations regularly, so that’s something to consider. However, the views were amazing and totally worth it! We stopped at a small cafe with great views to have a drink ( and food was available as well).

Great hike - The view and photo opportunity when we got to the top or peak of the hike was great! We could also see Arenal lake. The hike was a little tough when we started walking on lava rocks. Had to watch your step. Fruit was great at the end. Felt like this was the closest we got to the volcano. Didn’t see many animals but was told about the foliage and trees. We were in a group of 6 which at times made it hard to hear tour guide since the trail was narrow.

It was an awesome hike.... - It was an awesome hike. It rained through out the hike, so there was no clear view of the volcano. No fruits were given and there was no hot springs.
