Great Tour! - This is a moderately challenging road course along Arenal Lake. We had Christopher and Jose who were both awesome. We learned a lot about the local plants and animals and Tico culture. Great tour!

Diego was our excellent tour guide - Gracias a Diego por ser nuertro guía en la vuelta ciclista. Diego was our excellent guide, friendly and professional and patient with our different speeds. When my wife got in the bus at the end of the one way ride, Diego rode back with me at full speed and we had fun. Bikes were okay, not súper but hey, it wasn't such a long ride,

Great way to see Arenal with a great tour company - Gonzalo was our bike guide and he was amazing. We were picked up on time and transported to the starting point. He was very attentive to our physical needs and stopped along the way to show us scenic spots for pictures. This is just one is the three services we booked with Jacamar in Costa Rica. I will give the company 100% positive review based on my family’s experience. It’s not the tour itself, because all your companies can offer similar your packages. However, it is based on the absolutely attentive service we received. The staff (guides/drivers) were sincere, punctual (to the minute), friendly, attentive, patient, knowledgeable, and respectful throughout the trip, in every trip we had with them. Feel very good about choosing them and highly recommended.

Awesome Ride Along Arenal Lake! - We had a private biking tour (approx. 10-mile, somewhat hilly) around Arenal Lake. Carlos -- our guide -- was excellent, very personable and informative of things in the area. Along with support van (Charie was the driver and prepared a nice fruit lunch), we had a memorable ride along the lake with a beautiful view of the Arenal Volcano...highly recommend!

Great tour! - We had the best time with Diego. He introduced us into so many things that he's passionate about — his country, cycling, nature. We had a great time!

Great Day near Lake Arenal & the Volcano - Bike tour around Arenal Lake and Volcano Our tour guy was excellent. He spoke great English. He took lots of pictures for us and of us others while riding. He was very informative and made the ride fun and educational. The bikes were very nice and easy to ride. There were some hills that you had to work up but as long as you use the gears correctly it was much easier. We loved the pineapple at the end. It was absolutely delicious. The destination at the end of the ride on the river was absolutely beautiful. I would recommend doing this tour during the week because on the weekend many locals spend their time on the lake and the road can get busy at times. I would highly recommend this to anybody of any age that likes to bike ride and doesn’t mind a few hills.

Biking, Volcano, and a Lake....WOW! - We were told by our wonderful guide Edwin, that we had become part of 30% club. Only 30 percent of the people who visit the area get a clear view of the volcano. We were fourtante to have a clear beautiful day. It was a near perfect cloudless day. Our guides Edwin and Guerrillmo picked us up at our hotel for a 10 minute drive to the National Park. Edwin is a school teacher, and spoke perfect English. As we traveled to our drop off location, Edwin pointed out many things of interest. Once in the park, and at the base of the volcano we had a very detailed briefing regarding the operation of the mountain bikes. Edwin made sure the bikes fit perfectly, and the tires were properly inflated. Prior to riding, Edwin and Guerrillmo made sure we had plenty of time to get used to the feel of the bikes. Once everyone looked comfortable, and understood how the bike worked, we were off and riding. The tour itself is a fairly easy ride with only a few challenging uphill climbs. We stopped several times at predetermined locations to provide breaks. Edwin was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. His love and passion truly come through for both his country and his job. He picked the perfect locations for photos, and even acted as photogopher to get the perfect picture for us. Guerrillmo followed us in the van in case anyone needed to take a brake or rest in the air condition. Be prepared to ride over 20 miles on this spectacular visual tour. The volcano is always in sight as you ride around the beautiful lake. You will see nature up close and personal. As an added treat, Edwin and Guerrillmo will prepare a post ride treat of ice cold bottled water, fresh juices, fresh fruit😋. It’s a wonderful way to unwind by the lake after a awesome adventure. I’m not sure if you can request Edwin and Guerrillmo, but if you can......DO IT! They are a fantastic team. They made our tour perfect.

We appreciated that the... - We appreciated that the tour guide and driver let us cycle more even after we had returned the bikes to the van for a pause.

Pleasant cycle - About 30 mins from la fortuna and transport collected us from the hotel. Our guide was very pleasant and informative. The cycle was about 10k. First quarter was undulating and on a dirt track with quite large stones. Then you move onto a gravel road for the remaining cycle. Wear comfortable clothes and decent shoes. It was nice to get some exercise but I found it slightly lacking. The guide pointed out wildlife as and when but really it’s just a bike ride. Not the best tour on offer, perhaps my expectations were to high.
