• Proyecto Asis - Begin with an introduction to the Wildlife Rescue Center, followed by a tour of the facilities to observe the animals. Photography of all the animals is permitted.

The Day Tour to the Asis Wild Animal Rescue Center near La Fortuna offers a fantastic opportunity to learn about wildlife conservation and observe Costa Rican animals up close. The tour starts with an overview of the center’s mission to preserve wildlife populations amidst challenges like illegal hunting and habitat destruction. Asis collaborates with non-profit organizations, government bodies, and environmental agencies to rescue animals, release them back into the wild when feasible, and educate visitors about endangered species and other related topics.

The Asis tour with volunteering allows visitors not only to explore the facilities and observe wild animals but also to participate in the rehabilitation process. Participants will gain insight into the center’s commitment to protecting the incredible biodiversity of Costa Rican ecosystems and its mission to rescue and reintroduce wild animals into their natural environments.
