- La Fortuna - You day will begin when you are picked up from your hotel and driven about 20 minutes to Mistico Hanging Bridges, a beautiful hanging bridges park with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the Arenal Volcano. You’ll walk across several bridges that hang from canyon wall to canyon wall, allowing you to see wildlife from above the tree top canopy. After your hike, youu2019ll hop back into the vans and head to the Pure Trek headquarters to have a delicious, Costa Rican style lunch before heading out to the canyon. Enjoy waterfall rappelling, rock climbing, and the Monkey drop rappel (you will get wet!). After the canyoning tour we will take you back to our offices to take a look at the photos of your adventure and have some delicious Costa Rican coffee.

Additional Information
On this excursion, you will be collected from your lodging and brought to the glorious suspended bridges park which offers breathtaking sights of the neighboring mountains and the Arenal Volcano. A professional nature specialist will accompany you as you traverse numerous bridges which extend from one canyon edge to the other, offering you a bird’s-eye view of the wildlife above the tree canopy. Armed with a spotting scope and binoculars, your guide will identify wildlife and share insights about the area’s natural history. Following this, a visit to the Pure Trek headquarters is planned where you will partake in a scrumptious, traditional Costa Rican lunch and meet your canyoning coaches. They will lead you to the Pure Trek canyon for exhilarating waterfall rappelling, mountain climbing, trail hiking, and other engaging activities within the unique rainforest canyon. Come ready for an exciting and splashy time!

Canyoning Total Fun! - We actually did these tour sepertaely. Canyoning was off the charts fun! Never canyoned before. The process from start to finish is organized and seamless. My three boys, 15, 12, and 10 loved our experience. I am scared of heights and each instructor was patient and kind in helping me feel comfortable. Highly recommend, actually a must!

Must do! - We had a great time from start to finish and felt perfectly safe the whole time. The hanging bridges were fun seeing all of the wildlife.
The crew is very lively and help you to feel relaxed. It rained when we did the canyoning, but it was a warm rain and we were wet anyway. I wish I had warn water shoes or hiking sandals instead for the canyoning.

Outstanding day! Adrenalin rush for sure! - Xander was so great on the Hanging Bridges tour. He took and shared so many great pics! And had cold cervezas for us when we got back! We really enjoyed the park. Much better than we even anticipated.
The canyoning was awesome, but I’m not going to lie, I was beginning to have 2nd thoughts before that first waterfall! LOL! It was so far down! These guys were awesome, so patient with us. Their safety protocols were top notch and I knew I was in good hands. The guys were all so awesome! You can tell they really love their job.
We had lunch in between the tours and honestly it was better than any of the meals at our all inclusive resort! :). There was also delicious Costa Rican coffee when we got back!

Pure Trek Mistico and Canyoning - What an amazing time we had with Pure Trek! Our first stop was the Mistico Hanging Bridges. Our guide was Zander and he was amazing! He pointed out so much that we would have walked right by. He was so knowledgeable and explained so many things to us. He was witty and able to joke with us using some US cultural references. He made us feel like we had been friends for years, all while giving us an amazing experience. He brought along snacks, water, and even a cerveza to finish out the tour.
We had a very tasty lunch after the tour and then headed out for the second part, canyoning. All of the guides were amazing and very accommodating. Safety was paramount for them. They were energetic and fun the whole trip. I cannot say enough great things. You cannot go wrong with Pure Trek.

Seriously the best tour! - We started the day with tour guide Steven at the Mistico hanging bridges. We really wanted to see animals in the forest and thanks to Steven we got to see toucans, monjeys, frogs, a snake and even a sloth! He was super knowledgeable as well, we learned alot about the plants and animals. Back at the Pure Trek base camp we had the best lunch before heading out on the canyoning adventure. Im afraid of everything but the crew at Pure Trek were always upbeat and happy. We were so happy we went out of our comfort zones to try this adventure canyoning with Pure trek. be prepared to get soaked, and i highly reccomend wearing comfortable shoes that can get wet.

Awesome, do your research - The excursion was two parts by two different operators which we didn’t realize. The hanging bridges tour was supposed to be mistico park but they switched it out with sky park because Mistico was closed for Good Friday. Which is fine but they did not tell us until it came up in conversation when our guide picked us up. Julio was our tour guide and andres was our driver. They were fantastic. If you are looking for a guide for hikes, I recommend Julio. Bring extra cash because as I didn’t realiZe it was a different operator for the first and second parts I didn’t have enough to tip as much as I had wanted. Also, lunch is with pure trek at pure trek. A groups zip lined in the morning and are lunch at the zip line place and when they got back to pure trek for lunch they had already eaten. I suggest trying to determine who the operator is for the second part of the combo so you can be prepared.

Incredible day - Started the day at Mistico Hanging Bridges with a one on one guided tour which was incredible. Our guide took so much time to answer all of our questions and point out numerous animals we never could have seen without him (Frogs, snakes, bats, tarantulas, monkeys, birds). We went back to base camp for a quick and yummy lunch then headed out for the waterfall rappelling. This was way more fun than I had even expected. The crew that takes care of you was fun and up beat. You get absolutely soaked while rappelling but nothing compares to the Monkey Drop! If you like adventure you absolutely have to check this out.

Great wild adventures with pure trek - Great experience, lunch was tasty but could have given a bit more as I know the other company my friends went with had a buffet style lunch.
On a really positive note - the staff were amazing!! Another tour company called Jacamar tours took me for the hanging bridges tour and I must say… Erica the guide at the company was excellent. So knowledgable and helpful with everything. Always helped with taking pics too and where to take them. Cannot thank her enough!! Also her colleague Hero/Hiro, was excellent too. Never did canyoning before, but totally going to do it again, if I get the opportunity. Thank you pure trek for a wonderful experience!
