Ye Haw ! - Nice lively horses. More than just a lazy stroll ! They got up to a trot every once in awhile. Fun ride.

Fun ride! - The horse back riding was great! And the guides were very friendly and helpful with spotting animals and with getting on and off the horses. It is a bit of a hike to the waterfall (a lot of stairs!!!), so be prepared for that, but I loved the swim and the waterfall was stunning!

Fun horseback ride, fantastic hike, breathtaking waterfall - WORTH IT! - I had a great time on this tour! Our guide's name was Cell, and he really did a fabulous job. I did this tour solo, and was paired up with a lovely young couple so there were only 3 of us and our guide. The horses were easy to ride and well-behaved, and appeared very well taken-care-of. The hike to the waterfall was fun and beautiful, and the falls are spectacular! It had been raining a lot so the falls were VERY powerful, and nobody was going in the water. But our guide let us swim in an area off to the side, out of the main current. Important things to know: 1. You need to have some level of physical fitness to do this tour. The hike to and from the waterfall is steep and strenuous, although easy (mostly steps cut into the rocks so not dangerous at all). It was a great workout so I loved it! But couch potatoes should avoid this tour. I've seen a lot of reviewers complaining about how difficult it was, but if they'd read the tour descriptions carefully they would have realized it was beyond their physical abilities. But if you enjoy hiking, want a good workout and to see a breathtaking waterfall, this is a great tour. 2. If you ride horses regularly, you will probably be bored with the horses. But for those of us who don't do it often, it was FUN! They were not just plodding slowly along - these horses like to trot, and will even canter if you are comfortable with it. We were on a dirt road with some steep hills, splashing through flooded-out portions, and we always trotted up the hills.

Worth it - but come prepared - The tour guide, Cell, was great! The tour was great! A must experience What wasn’t great was the information on setting expectations for the event It should include: Bring your water shoes - rocks to waterfall are slippery Bring a small towel Wear your bathing suit Very physical - walking over 400 stairs, up and down, on a steep, narrow path.

Wonderful - This was by far our favorite experience in Costa Rica. The view of the water fall was beautiful. The horses were well trained and taken care of. Our guides were wonderful as well.

Great morning in LA fortuna - Horses were well trained and guides were great. Bring swim clothes and water shoes for the waterfall. There are 500 steps to the waterfall so would only recommend to fit travelers. Transportation was great!

This was an amazing tour.... - This was an amazing tour. Our guide was great. He took photos for us and pointed out toucans, a sloth and even a snake. The horse back ride was a lot of fun. Bring a bathing suit and water shoes. The rocks are slippery in the water by the falls. All around a great experience.

Great fun, but surprisingly hard work riding - good fitness levels needed! - I really enjoyed this trip. It is a bit scary when the horses all decide to trot and get competitive and swap places with each other though! This is a good experience for adults and teens/tweens but not suitable for young children. There was a lot of walking to do up and down to the waterfall too. The swim was lovely- lots of fish in the water and the waterfall is beautiful.

A wonderful trek through beautiful lands - We had a great time out on the trek to the waterfalls. The horses are conditioned to know the trek (when to speed up/slow down) so it is very easy for beginners but perhaps a little tedious for experienced riders.

Not what was expected at all. - As stated before our guide Joshua was wonderful and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without him. The horses are in excellent condition which was great. However, I booked this tour bc I had Achilles tendinitis and wanted an easier way to see the waterfall. The tour company said it would be an easy wall from the horses. It was actually the most difficult hike we did. About 400 treacherous steps and the climbing across slippery rocks to get to the waterfall. And of course we had to go back up when we were done. There was also no stop at the Maleku Indigenous Village which we were all looking forward to.
