Waterfall hike and swim - Mainor made our waterfall hike very enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable about the area, animals and the history. He made the 500+ steps very easy to manage. Waterfall and swim was awesome! They even helped us find some great souvenirs after the hike. Highly recommend!

¡ Muchas gracias, Elena ! - Elena was my guide for an afternoon hike to the Fortuna waterfall. I was impressed with, and grateful for, her professionalism and dedication. I was really keen to see a sloth, and although that was not part of my planned visit with Elena, she asked our driver to stop at a location so that we could see sloths (two!) on our way to the waterfall.  Once at the waterfall, Elena took her time to share her knowledge with me, and showed me the orchid trail on the way back up. She also took photos throughout our tour, and sent them to me afterwards, as the camera on my mobile phone was broken. It was a pleasure to visit the waterfall with Elena, and I cannot recommend her tour guide services enough.

Magical - The falls are beautiful, the guide was great and recommend going early before the crowds. The steps are steep and wet, wear good shoes…. Would not recommend for ankle/ knee issues

Great experience and knowledgeable guide - We did the waterfall tour today as a family of 4 with Jasmine, she was absolutely amazing with us and our 2 children, along with the drive Ami. Both are very personable and good pace for an excursion with 2 kids. We had plenty of time to explore and it wasn't rushed. She explained the flora and fauna along the way and also the history of Costa Rica.

Best experience in LaFortuna - Our guide, Pepè, was above and beyond. He stopped on the way to the waterfall to show us several sloths in the trees. During the ride and the hike he was entertaining and informative. We took great care to ensure all in our family were safe and having a great time. He was also a skilled photographer and captured so many great memories while we were swimming. Our whole family loved him. This was the last tour we booked while in LaFortuna and our favorite one. Highly recommend. Pepè deserves a promotion. Skip the sloth farm and book a tour with Pepè.

Breathtaking Waterfall - No pictures can do justice to this breathtaking waterfall. The height of the waterfall and the power of the water coming was magnificent. Taking a swim in the water is a must. We saw a group of monkeys during our hike down to the waterfall. The facility is well maintained and all personnel were friendly and professional. The lunch was also excellent. Some important advice on the hike to and from the waterfall. It’s very safe but can be very challenging for some. The 530+ steps back up is challenging for the older individual or a younger child. There are rest area with seats which is very thoughtful. Make sure you have a good walking/hiking shoes. And bring a bottle water to stay hydrated. The La Fortuna Waterfall is a must see.

Beautiful waterfall and refreshing swim! - Great trip to the La Fortuna park and waterfall. Nicely developed area with paved/hand-railed walking trail down to/up from the base of the waterfall. Waterfall is spectacular! Swimming is refreshing and fun. Showers/changing rooms at the top. Great time! Go!
