Loved it! - Amazing tour, we did it twice because our girls missed it the first time and it didn't disappoint. We saw several species both times, Raymundo and Josue our guides were fantastic, super helpful and knowledgeable. We stayed at the hotel so it was super easy for us to book and enjoy, but in both tours we had out of hotel guests and they all raved about the tour. Everyone receives a complimentary drink, coquito, which is delicious and after the tour you can warm yourself up with complimentary coffee or tea. Definitely recommend!!

10 stars! - If I could give this tour 10 stars I would! Reynaldo was the best tour guide we could have asked for! He made sure everyone in the group saw every frog and got the perfect photos! The walk was short and the tour was the perfect length (1 hour) so we were engaged the entire time! We saw about 8 red eyed tree frogs, 2 poison dart frogs, and many hourglass frogs! This tour is 100% worth the price if you love wildlife!

If you love frogs, this is your tour - This is a night tour of the jungle on the Tikafara property and we loved it! Our guide was really knowledgeable and kind. We saw SO MANY FROGS! Honestly, we also did the night tour in Monteverde through the cloud forest on a long a hike and we saw way more critters on this tour of the Tikafara property. Highly recommend if you love frogs and want to see them up close.

My parents and I chose... - My parents and I chose this tour because it was short - 1 hour. We were in a group of 12 people but the guide made sure we all saw the animals he spotted. The tour was in the frog sanctuaries on the hotel property. We saw a poison dart frog, red-eyed tree frogs (about 18!), a yellow tree frog, a centipede, and pretty angel trumpet flowers. Wear closed-toe shoes with traction because the narrow stone paths can be slightly slippery. The guide used a bright flash light and gave us powerful spot lamps to illuminate our path and to try and spot animals. He even saw an elusive glass frog that night but could not find it when we reached the spot where he saw it, so he showed us a photo of it. There were times he took close-up photos of the red-eyed tree frogs using our phone-cameras, and the pics were really good! After the tour, we enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant - sea bass and tuna steak with a complimentary lime-coconut milk drink (non-alcoholic).

So many red eyed tree frogs! - Amazing sights and amazing pictures! We spotted many of the famous Red Eyed Tree Frogs, as well hourglass and poison dart frogs. The guide was very knowledgeable and 1 hour was the perfect amount of time. As the tour is in the jungle part of the resort, we felt safe while still seeing all the species we wanted. Would recommend!

Night trail through the tropical forest at Tifakara - Amazing tour, well worth it! Kevin was a brilliant, knowledgeable guide with so much enthusiasm. A lovely welcome cocktail and a guitarist/saxophonist playing some great tunes to greet us. Saw so many frogs and insects. Also some birds (asleep in the trees)

Interesting Nightwalk with experiences guides - Ti-fakara really fokuses to include the wildlife into your vacation experience and as a result many species like to hang out in the hotel grounds. The frog ponds are being cared for with such love and detail. The 45-60 minutes tour was very interesting and we got to see frogs, snakes and birds up close. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to take an interesting but not too exhausting night walk. POV...the restaurant is also top notch!

Ribbet for your pleasure! - From start to finish, Reynaldo took such good care of us. We showed up a little hungry and bummed out from the major rain and from being very disappointed with our daytime sloth tour. Reynaldo gave us a welcome cookie he went to get thru the hotel, the restaurant gave us a mini welcome drink… it was delicious and then… even in the pouring rain he found us soooooo many of the most colourful frogs! We got the most beautiful photos. Definitely a great memory and made the trip to La Fortuna worth it all! We even saw frogs mating!!

All the frogs!! - The number one thing I can’t stop raving about after our Costa Rica trip is the frogs. Highly recommend!!! We were staying at the hotel so this was super convenient for us, amazing frog sitings, and they provide the helpful/bright lights you need to be able to spot the frogs at night!

Frog tour - over priced… - The tour included walking through a garden in the back of the hotel lobby and looking at a few frogs who are residents of the garden. In total, we did see 5 - 6 frogs, 2 sleeping birds and one lizard. The price we paid was too high for this experience. If it rains - take an umbrella even though the host may say no. The tour should really last 30 minutes but they try to drag it on for an hour+ to make it feel worth the money!!
