Yummy Family Dinner - We had a great time touring the farm and cooking with the family in their home. It's so wonderful they're willing to open their private space to share this experience with people. The family has a great amount of knowledge to share and are passionate about what they do. The food was wonderful and fresh as you help bring some of it in from the fields. Highly recommend this tour! I would recommend bug spray for the walk through the farm though if you're a mosquito attractor like me.

Warm, kind family. Personal and enriching. - This was the most original experience we had on our trip. Costa Rica has a lot of adventure tours, but this was our only real chance to connect with a local family. Hubert and his family were so welcoming with warm smiles for everyone. Even though we were only there a few hours, we left feeling loved. We loved hearing the story of their farm and seeing all of the wonderful things they grow. Having a traditional meal with them was the cherry on top. Wonderful experience!

A personalized learning organic food adventure, for a special, lovely, and unique activity. Highly recommended. - This was an extremely pleasant activity for my wife and I. Highly highly recommended. This family is so warm and welcoming and knowledgeable and fun, it was such a pleasure for us. We toured the farm, and picked the herbs, spices, and vegetables we needed for our dinner. We learned so much! Huber is so nice, and so knowledgeable, and so personable, it was a pleasure to be with him. After learning a lot, in a very personal way, we learned to cook a typical Costa Rican dinner, totally organic, super healthy and super delicious. This was a great activity for us Highly recommended.

Amazing dinner and more! - This was an amazing experience where we got a personalized tour of an organic farm and picked some of the vegetables we used during the dinner preparation. We got to see how spices such as cinnamon, lemon grass, pepper (black and white) as well avocados, pineapple, and sugar cane are grown. We enjoyed learning about Costa Rican agriculture from Hubert and his family. We especially enjoyed the lesson on sugar cane and making a pre-dinner drink with guaro and learning a Costa Rican toast! Our young adult children loved speaking Spanish and working with Huberts mom in the kitchen to cook chicken, salad, vegetables, rice and beans, plantains and corn tortillas. We learned about Costa Rican spices, foods, and traditions and enjoyed a wonderful meal in their home. This was a true highlight of our trip! We would highly recommend it.

Learn, cook, enjoy! Informative and entertaining experience a highlight of our trip. - Huberth and family were wonderful. We had a tour of the homestead, saw a sloth and a toucan who happened to be in the area. Learned about all the plants growing on the grounds and collected materials to make a delicious juice (which we made using a hand crank grinder) and our lunch. Conversations were excellent and insightful. Food was delicious and we made tortillas from scratch for the first time! Highly recommend this stellar experience.

Best experience of our trip! - This was one of the best experiences we had during our week in Costa Rica - Huberth gave us an amazing tour of the property and we LOVED the cooking class with his mother. We are so happy we decided to do this and wish we stayed in one of the air bnbs which are super cute! Definitely would recommend this for anyone looking to have an authentic experience. Our only regret was that we didn’t do this tour sooner on our trip. We felt so welcomed and thank Huberth and his family for an amazing day- pura vida!

AMAZING - We did a lot of excursions in Costa Rica. This one was the most unique and traditional. We toured the farm, made a drink from grinding sugar cane, make chocolate and then went into their kitchen and made dinner with the family. OMG. My kids loved it. They are 19, 16 and 13. Highlight of our trip and would tell anyone looking for a Costa Rican experience to do this in a heartbeat. Huber is funny and amazing. My oldest spoke Spanish to him and his translator helped the rest of us.

Beautiful farm! - Plantation/garden/farm tour was fabulous! We saw all of the plants and fruits and learned how they are used in different capacities. We also picked ingredients for the juice we pressed and for the dinner we made. While we had a translator who was very good, speaking Spanish would have made the cooking/eating portion more immersive.
