Fun Fun Fun - It was a brilliant trip. The guides were super nice and fun and the food was very good and plentiful.

White water rafting - The white water rafting was awesome! I was very nervous and the tour operator made me feel so safe. They are a class act that makes the ride enjoyable and safe. I have been on other white water rafting trips. This one was by far the best!

Thrills, Comfort, and Top-Notch Hospitality with Desafío Adventures! - Desafío Adventures delivered an unforgettable white water rafting experience that had us exhilarated from start to finish. As 40-somethings venturing into this adrenaline-packed activity, we felt perfectly at ease thanks to our incredible guide, Justin. He balanced expert instruction with humor and encouragement, making sure everyone had a safe and thrilling ride.
The rapids were exciting, but what truly stood out was the thoughtfulness and hospitality of the Desafío team. After an energetic day on the river, the hot, delicious food was a welcome treat, and the dry towels and clean bathrooms were a luxurious comfort. The little touches, like the genuine warmth of the staff, made the experience feel both adventurous and indulgent. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to combine a heart-pumping activity with first-class care!

HIGHLY Recommending this company for white water rafting experience!!! - Amazing company to go with if you are looking for an experience in water rafting! The amenities they provide is simply not just getting on a raft but end to end in providing you a place to shower, providing towels, lunch (if you're on the afternoon run), coffee, etc. completing everything you wouldn't expect to get.
The staff is like family and they all work together to ensure you get the best experience. Our person (Gabriel) that was controlling the raft was amazing and was very experienced and ensured that our safety was always a priority. He was also funny and made the entire run down the river fun!
Lunch was also hot and fresh with options of vegetarian, chicken or beef that was made before we arrived back from rafting. A quick shower, change of clothes, and watching our photos from the trip while eating our lunch made this company the go to place!
We will definitely recommend this place to all our friends and family!

Don’t miss out! - My wife and I went rafting with this company and we had an AMAZING time! My wife was worried about the class 3&4 rapids but the tour guide was excellent and we never once felt like we were in danger. That does not mean there wasn’t some hard rapids, because there definitely were some heavy rapids on this path. That was part of the fun though! I recommend “riding the bull” if you get the chance. It’s an exhilarating experience that we both loved. These guys are awesome, well worth the price (which is fair and not overpriced). Felix was our guide and we left a big tip for his energy and professionalism.

Best experience of my life. - This was one of the best experiences of my life. Perfect combination of fun and challenge. Beautiful views and birds. And just a brilliant guide. Everyone working at the tour was really friendly and generous, and the lunch was also delicious. The photos were an extra bonus and I’ve already sent them to everyone back home. If you’re trying to decide between tours, this is the right one.

One of my favourite days in Costa Rica - Wow, just wow. What an incredible experience with the most incredible crew. Every single person we encountered on this adventure was so caring and funny. From our bus driver to the safety instructor, our raft guide Gabriel, and the rest of the crew as well, it was just so good! We stopped halfway on the river for a fruit break and watched as one of the guides caught a fish with a piece of watermelon. The lunch at the end was also so fresh and filling. There were three options to choose from, and you could taste the love. Our guide, Gabriel, was so incredibly funny and gauged how adventurous our group was and then worked so well with that. I would HIGHLY recommend going on this rafting tour if you want to experience just the most incredible day of fun!

Definitely do this tour!! - We had a great time. Our guide, Rolo, was cheerful, knowledgeable, and very passionate about Costa Rica in general and the Sarapiqui in particular. He told us he grew up on the river and first shot the rapids at age 12! The rafting itself was exhilarating and fun with opportunities to get in the water (voluntarily!). We felt close to the edge a bunch of times but were always under the careful but easy going guidance of Rolo. He also taught us a lot about the local fauna and different inhabitants of the river itself. Finally, it’s a gorgeous spot to be on the water! The fruit snack was typical tasty Costa Rican pineapple and watermelon and the lunch after rafting was some traditional Costa Rica. Salad, choice of proteins, rice, beans, and cooked veggies. We enthusiastically recommend!!

Wicked white water adventure! - Wowzer what an amazing day! From the moment Rollo collected us from the hotel the fun began. He was informative and fun, whilst giving us a full for the adventures ahead. Our boat guide, Gabriel, was excellent, his instructions were great and used his skill to keep us safe in addition to feeling the full excitement and adrenaline of the rapids.
The whole team worked well together and finished with a delicious lunch.
