So worth it! - This excursion was well worth the money! We typically like to explore natural areas on our when traveling but we’re SO SO glad we signed up for this guided all day tour. The reviews that say you will have a hard time spotting wildlife on your own are not joking - the expertise the guides utilize to help you spot and view animals you never would’ve seen on your own is amazing!
Our guide Fabricio was an expert and a delightful person. We started at the hanging bridges (which were beautiful all on their own) and saw coati, an anteater, tarantula, eyelash pit viper, hummingbirds and many other beautiful birds, and some bats huddled under a leaf.
While traveling between destinations, our driver, Johann, and Fabricio made several stops out of their way to help us spot howler monkeys and a sloth mama + baby. We hiked down to La Fortuna Waterfall and up towards the volcano. While we had a low visibility day, it was still beautiful and super informative.
In between excursions we stopped for lunch with a local family. Right near the dining area there was a feeder with so many beautiful birds, including toucans! My boyfriend and I both agree that the meal we were served ( a classic Casado) was one of the best things we ate the entire trip.
Highly highly recommend!

So Much to do - Jason was an amazing tour guide. He was so knowledgeable he took us through the hanging bridges and showed us a lot of wildlife. My wife had a sprain ankle and he was patient with us through the whole tour. I would definitely recommend.

3 in 1 full day excursion - We had a great adventure with Tony. Thankfully, we had a small group. First did the suspension hanging bridges tour, which was great, pointed out a lot of wildlife that it sounded like had not been seen in a few days. We were very fortunate to be able to see monkeys, Interesting spiders, owls, birds, and in between we saw sloths that they picked out just even from while we were driving to the next excursion.
Did the volcano hike which was a bit harder than expected, but definitely worth it. They gave us poles to walk with which was also a great help. We had a little snack, possibly the best pineapple that I’ve ever had in my life before we did the hike which was great for energy.
Lunch was amazing, may have been some of the best food that we had while visiting Costa Rica. It was neat too because they had some scraps of fruit that they posted on a perch at lunch and we saw a bunch of beautifully colored birds come up to it.
Then was the big excursion, the waterfall hike. Definitely intimidating, but just know that you can go at your own pace coming back up. The waterfall stairs were very well well-maintained. It was nice because Tony did come down to the waterfall to make sure we were OK and then stayed with me while I took my time getting back up the stairs. He pointed out a snake that we did not see as we went down, but on our way back up, he showed it to us.
Overall was a great tour. Would highly recommend.

Awesome day despite downpour! - This is the most expensive excursion we booked in the entire trip of 6 days Costa Rica trip but it’s worth every penny of it. It was pouring rain last night when we arrived at La Fortuna so we kept our expectations low on these outdoor activities. Fabricio made it an awesome day for us. At hanging bridges he asked us what animals we haven’t seen and he certainly did his very best to grant our wishes. Voila! He found snakes and frogs for us! Hiking the volcano was very informative. We decided to forfeit the waterfall portion because rain was super likely but they willingly offered us the chocolate experience. Learned so much and truly enjoyed the owner’s background and expertise. When we come back we will look for this family owned business and support them. Great family mission, super delicious lunch on their property and just super memorable day for us! Thank you! Pura vida! 💕💕

3 in 1 combo tour - Amazing! - Our guide Francisco and driver Edgardo did an incredible job of showing us through the hanging bridges, volcano, and waterfall! He showed us many animals we would have missed including some vipers that were right under our nose. We spent a bunch of time swimming in a huge waterfall and had an amazing lunch as well. This is the combo you want to book of you are visiting La Fortuna, you wont regret it!

Do it, you won’t regret it! Worth the money !!! - We had an amazing time! Our tour guide(Francisco) was very knowledgeable about the wildlife, flora, and geology. The lunch we had during our adventure was delicious! We had a delay at the waterfall due to high winds but our tour guide kept us updated on the situation and once it was safe he was able to get us down to the base of the waterfall before the crowd got there! Edgaurdo our driver was fantastic as well, he provided us with a freshly cut pineapple in between the hanging bridges and the volcano hike! The pineapple was out of this world amazing!!

THIS 3 PART, FULL DAY TOUR WAS WONDERFUL! - We absolutely loved this tour. It was all day with Monica who was absolutely wonderful. We did book it direct with the tour agency, which may be less expensive that way and we drove to one of their locations, so we didn't pay for transportation pickup and drop off. I was worried I'd be afraid of the hanging bridges, but it was no problem. They are steel and sturdy. Monica is very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and animals of the rainforest. The waterfall is gorgeous and refreshing. Yes, it's 500 steps down & up, but they aren't steep, so it's fairly easy. Lastly was the hike up to a better view of Arenal. They are in the process of putting in steps at La Silencia, which definitely made the hike easier. Monica gave us an appreciation of everything we saw and is WONDERFUL.
