Class II & III White Water Rafting Experience!!
Experience a unique blend of adrenaline-charged whitewater challenges and tranquil sections of water that are perfect for a refreshing swim. This is an ideal family-friendly escapade, particularly for those new to rafting. Keep your eyes peeled for the rich wildlife in this part of the Balsa, including sloths, iguanas, howler monkeys, and a myriad of exotic birds. But the journey isn’t all about relaxation. The rollicking, frothy class 2-3 rapids are sure to elicit joy and exhilaration for the entire family. Our fantastic and safety-conscious guides, who can even make a mud puddle entertaining, will lead the trip. With every tour, there are stops for local, organic fruits and a genuine Costa Rican lunch. Additionally, you’ll gain insights into the cultivation, harvesting, and production of chocolate, medicinal plants, fruits, and sugar cane.

Balsa White Water Rapids Adventure - Went as a family of 4 with two 16 year olds that were looking for adventure. The tour did not disappoint and exceeded our expectations. We'll organized overall, safe and fun. Teens had a blast and so did their nervous mother. Our guide Pablo was fantastic, as well as Kevin. Great trip, nice break in the middle with the most delicious pineapple I've ever had and a very good traditional lunch and coffee to finish. Great value, great fun, highly recommend!!

Fun rafting! - My teens, husband and I had so much fun rafting. It felt safe but still adventurous! Pablo and Warner were great! We saw monkeys, birds, and iguanas.

An amazing experience to last a lifetime - It was really fun, the tour guides are amazing, the view was excellent and we were able to see many sloths, iguana's, birds, and a monkey! Thank you to Pablo, Warner, Juan Carlos, Orlando, and Yan Carlos!

Organized and fun adventure! - The entire experience with Costa Rica Descents was enjoyable, organized and fun. They picked us up on time where we drove to a quick stop to pick up snacks and drinks. Then we got to the entry point. The guides were very informative and fun! The entire trip was high energy, fun, and safe! Warner did an amazing job keeping us safe, while still having fun. Warner was knowledgeable about the nature and area. The rapids weren’t too hard to manage, with our amazing guide! After the river, we took a short drive to on open air lunch place which served a typical Costa Rican meal of rice, beans, vegetables, and chicken. They also shared the typical way to make coffee- very good! After lunch, the guides took us to a a short farm tour!

Fun, exhilarating, beautiful scenery!!! - The best your guides! I’d recommend it to anybody of all ages. Safety is important but FUN is top priority as well!!!
Ask for Orlando!!! He’s got amazing humor and tons of fun!!!

1000/10 super safe with a hint of adrenaline - 1000/10 experience! The crew made us feel safe and gave us instructions on basic safety education. Warner welcomed us with open arms and made us feel prepared for our journey. Graven was our raft guide and he provided us with such an amazing experience! We saw a poison dart frog, sloths, storks, fruit trees and beautiful greenery. I would not recommend taking any valuables as they can get lost in the water. Such a fun experience with a hint of adrenaline. They provided fruit, rental water shoes, transportation, helmet and water vest, and a delicious lunch with beverages (water, juice, coffee, and moonshine) with optional purchases of other souvenirs, soft drinks and beer.

White water rafting - The guides were awesome and so was the river and the rapids! The lunch after the paddling was also fantastic! One of the best things to do in Costa Rica.

A fantastic day out - A great day out and perfect for a taster of what white water rafting is all about. Warren was the main guide and was fun and informative (Kevin our raft lead was cracking fun too). They made sure everyone felt relaxed and safe throughout. The food and other extras included in the day make this a fantastic value package, which is highly recommended for all.

Unforgettable experience!!! - Our tour with Costa Rica Descents was truly an unforgettable experience! We loved having Carlos Gonzalez as our river guide! He was cordial, incredibly knowledgeable, and personable. We got the chance to see some of the wildlife during the tour and eat a typical Costa Rican meal at the end! It was awesome!
