Beautiful day on the river - What a great experience for my family and I. We had a peaceful and beautiful time floating down the river. Our guide, Beth, was friendly and an expert on the river. We enjoyed this trip immensely and highly recommend it for other families. We saw many monkeys, a sloth, iguanas, basilisks, a snake bird, kingfishers and even a crocodile sunning by the riverside. This excursion was among our favorite Costa Rican experiences.

Safary in La Fortuna - An excellent tour, very nice, both the Guide and the owner take the time to explain about the flora and fauna of the place, on the tour I saw several animals including a family of monkeys and I could appreciate several types of birds, the tour I found very nice to do with family or friends. I also found it great that they work with new equipment.

10/10 Experience - Had the best time!! Bethsiva was absolutely amazing, she is an incredibly expert guide and pointed out more animals than we would have ever been able to spot otherwise, whilst telling us more also about life in Costa Rica and giving general recommendations for the rest of our trip here. She’s also the only female tour guide that is currently doing rafting boat tours in the area! We had a surreal time on the boat and enjoyed some delicious fruit and refreshments on the way. 10/10 would wholeheartedly recommend any time!

Great Excursion for Young Kids! - We used Calypso Adventures for the Penas Blancas safari float and had Beth as our guide. They arrived on time, were well prepared and professional. Beth was absolutely fantastic and very knowledgeable about Costa Rica’s biodiversity and surrounding landscape! She went out of her way to show us as many animals as possible and was so accommodating to our 4 year daughter. This is a great activity for young kids. Would highly recommend Calypso Adventures for any excursion!

Can’t miss this! - Excellent experience, would highly recommend to anyone wanting to see wildlife and enjoy drifting along a beautiful river! We saw several howler monkeys and white faced monkeys, lots of toucans and tiger herons. Watch the birds swoop down to the water to get fish surrounding you. Truly an incredible experience. Knowledgable and friendly guide to make a memorable experience. This one also takes you slightly further along the river than most, best value for money!

Will do again when I come back - Felt bad as we were late for this, someone stole my wife’s phone so we chased them down to the next town, got it back and made the trip but were late they waited for us and the trip was amazing, chill trip down river looking for animals got me back in a good mood after all that

Book itQ - The tour was s great experience, complete with funny, knowledgeable guides. The float down the river was a relaxing chance to be in the middle of nature and to see diff wildlife. We saw monkeys, lizards, various birds and there's a chance to see even more. Highly recommend!

A really fun way to experience Costa Rica's rivers and wildlife! - This is a really fun experience for all ages in La Fortuna! The pickup and dropoff transportation was prompt and comfortable. We drove to the starting point, where we used the bathroom, got our life jackets, and took some group photos before launching. As a group of 11, we were split into two boats and headed down the river. This is a fairly gentle float, and the guide prompts you when you need to paddle. It absolutely poured on us, which is always a risk in Costa Rica, so be prepared with a rain jacket, hat, or just a positive attitude that it's OK to get wet :) Because of the rain, our guide let us know it might be more difficult to see a lot of animals. But we ended up seeing several groups of howler monkeys, lots of iguanas, many birds, and some cows. And the highlight of the trip was our guide Andres, who told us so many interesting things about the wildlife, the trees and plants, and Costa Rica in general. The knowledge and passion he shared with us were really special! All of the guides were great. With all the rain and the river, it was a little chaotic and slippery, so I really appreciated that the guides were very attentive to making sure my 79 year old grandparents were able to get safely into and out of the boats. Another of the guides, Beth, had taken photos of our group throughout the tour, and shared them with us afterwards. It was nice that photos were included and no extra charge! After we got to the finish point, they had set up water, beers, and delicious fresh fruit that we could enjoy while they packed up the boats and equipment. From this spot we were also able to see (and hear) a huge group of howler monkeys across the river. Overall, great experience for families—highly recommend!

We love it - We loved it, the guides were very professional, they took great care of the details, and they were very kind, even the bus driver. My family was very delighted and happy because we saw many animals. I recommend them 100%, they won't disappoint you.

Well supported trip made less successful by weather - We ended up being the only party booked and were able to arrange direct pickup at our VRBO which was amazing. Unfortunately the weather was not great for animal viewing (out of anyone's control), but we had a good time regardless and felt well supported for the excursion.
