Top notch vacation thanks to Pure Trek and Delvis! - This is a review of how Pure Trek helped put together an itinerary for my friends and I. Through Reddit, I found Delvis Requesnes, who works for Pure Trek. Delvis arranged our entire itinerary for a week, booking transfers, hotels and excursions. He is organized and communicative (Whatsapp was the primary means of communication), everything went incredibly smoothly, and all for a reasonable price. For example, Delvis got us a guide to take us through the Hanging Bridges. If we had booked it ourselves, we never would have used a guide, and would have missed out on seeing some incredible wildlife. All the excursions (canyoneering, ww rafting, hanging bridges, volcano hike, springs, ziplining) were professionally run and most importantly fun! Costa Rica is wonderful, and having a knowledgeable expert to make recommendations and handle all the logistics made for a relaxing, stress free vacation. Great job by Pure Trek in general, and Delvis specifically, a great vacation was made even greater because of them!

Pure Trek is a great tour operator! - Our family of 5 (kids 16, 18,20) all had a blast. We loved the waterfall rappelling the most. The zipline adventure was OK. The ziplines were great, but we didn't realize it was a different tour company that Pure Trek partnered with. There were a lot of people, felt a tiny bit rushed... and the operators were not as personable and fun as Pure Trek. The ziplines were great, but we all thought the waterfall rapel was the highlight of the day!

5 Star Experience! Safe, fun and amazing staff! - What a day repelling with the Pure Trek Team! The property we were able to be on was just gorgeous! Massive waterfalls, beautiful lush jungle. It was a treat just to see such a beautiful place. This is a place with some of the most beautiful waterfalls imaginable that you can not go to unless you are with Pure Trek. The staff was so friendly and we felt safe and cared for. All vehicles and buildings were very nice and top-notch and there were restrooms at every stop. They have towels and coffee for you when you arrive back. You have to do this tour with Pure Trek.

Tips - Rappelling tips. Chacos or Keens work best. They have free lockers & wifi. Don't wear eyeglasses (unless you can't see without glasses). Wear the longest shorts you have. I would have preferred to wear capris or long pants that dry quickly. We all wore shorts, which worked okay, but pants would have been better. There's more uphill walking than I expected. It's manageable but a little exhausting. It's shady enough you don't have to obsess about sunscreen. I wouldn't bring an iphone/camera on the rappelling. They take lots of pics for a reasonable cost. Zipline tips- Wear capris or long pants. Shorts work okay, but not as well as pants. I regret not bringing my iPhone. You can wear a fanny pack. It's somewhat shady, but I'd apply sunscreen before. They have free lockers & wifi.

A great adventure! - We booked through Pure Trek & were not disappointed! The waterfall rappelling was first and it had amazing views. The guides were kind, safety was ensured, we were nervous about the heights but it was so worth it! There were 4 rappels total & the monkey drop was awesome. Lunch was great with traditional Costa Rican food at the main Pure Trek building in town where we changed into dry clothes/shoes. We originally wore clothes that could get wet and tevas/Chacons and that worked great. The ziplining was booked in the package via Pure Trek, but hosted with another company called AMA. Their guides were helpful. Beautiful views of La Fortuna waterfall. We were going from 8:30am-4:30pm, so it was a long day with lots of exercise. Only tip I’ll give is that you need to be in some kind of good shape since it’s a lot of hiking uphill & you need to be able to climb & hold your weight with the rappelling.

Rappelling Rocks! - The rappelling was so excellent! So much fun and I have never done anything like it, I highly highly recommend. The ziplining was just average. Don't get me wrong, it was a fun experience, but not nearly as thrilling as the rappelling, and the staff didn't go above and beyond as they did with the rappelling either. We also got lunch after, though, which was very pleasant.

A slice of paradise with a side of exhilaration - What an amazing experience this was! I booked through this group based off of a referral from a friend in CR and was not disappointed! Jonathan, our main guide was very knowledgeable and engaging along with the entire crew who all made us feel welcome, safe and looked after throughout the duration of the trip. The lunch provided was delicious and the surroundings spectacular. Would most assuredly do this again and recommend to anyone. Pura vida!
