Described by many as a sight that can’t be put into words, observe the water glisten and ripple when disturbed. Engulf yourself in the wilderness under a vibrant sky, miles away from the urban environment. No artificial lights or human-created effects, just the natural occurrence of bioluminescence calmly illuminating these safeguarded waters. With cameras unable to encapsulate this spectacle, it’s certainly an experience not to be missed!!
- Swimming is not mandatory. While it is an option that we highly advise you to take advantage of, no guest is required to swim if they are not comfortable to do so
- This is not a Kayak Tour. Guests will be transported via motor boat through the protected waters to the best location to see and swim in the bioluminescence
- Total time on the water is 45 minutes - 1 hour. Guests will be able to swim for 20 minutes
- Visibility of the bioluminescence will fluctuate with weather, currents, and the moon cycle.
- All guests pay regular rate regardless of age. The number of participants is monitored by the DRNA and is by seat, not age

Do it. You won’t be disappointed - Truly magical. Lived my Disney princess fantasy. Words don’t describe how magical it feels and pictures won’t capture how bright it is. Hard to believe it’s a real thing.

Great staff and exciting tour - The guides on the boat were excellent and provided drinks for us. They cared about our safety. It was great fun getting to swim in the bioluminescent area. They even had another boat with a dark curtain on the front so we could swim under it and appreciate the bioluminescence. When I got out and boarded our boat, my shirt was still all glittery! It was a great tour for a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Top ten all time adventure! - It is one of the top ten coolest things we have done as a family! Bioluminescence was so much cooler from in the water than it was when we kayaked several years ago.

The experience is unique, like nothing else you will see. - We were called to change the schedule

8:15 to 7:15 the latest 7:30, we hurried up and we had to wait until 8 to depart. Not good.

Bioluminescence Boat Tour - The trip was fantastic, the guide did everything he could to ensure we could see the glow and was very friendly! Unfortunately, boarding didn't start until later (around 7.40pm!)

Switch the captain - It was a very cool and impressive experience overall. I am happy that I did it. Minus the delay on departure and the lack of detailed history/explanation by the boat captain.

Sketchy with jellyfish - Kind of a sketchy experience. They called us and made us come there an hour early because they said they didn’t have enough people for two tours. Luckily we gave ourselves enough time and we’re already in the area. Anyways we didn’t get to eat food because of this and went over there at the early time just to sit and wait til the original time we were supposed to leave so that was very annoying to us. Also they didn’t give us any info on the bioluminescence. Took us to a bay and said hop out you have 15 mins in the pitch black bay. Our group got stung by jellyfish which actually wasn’t as bad as expected. I’d skip this and go to the other bio bays and kayak. We thought it would be awesome to swim in it but it was pretty disappointing.

Canceled trip - The trip was canceled. They did contact us and told us ahead of time and told us why and they were canceling trips all week. but we did not have time in our schedule to go to a different trip to see the Bio Bay. This was the one thing we wanted to see in puerto rico

SUCH A RIP OFF, DON'T GO! - I have never been more disappointed in an excursion! There was NO bioluminesence to be seen and 4 other passengers were all stung by jellyfish! Myself and 2 other friends (all seniors) wasted $60 ea. Feel so ripped off!
