Pedal for 20 to 25 minutes to reach the bay and enjoy 30 minutes of enchanting bioluminescence. While the full moon’s light may slightly dim the glow, the mysterious sparkles still provide a one-of-a-kind experience.

Thanks to the catamaran-style design of the Chiliboats Waterbikes, navigation is straightforward, safe, and requires minimal effort, as they are pedal-powered. There’s no need for glass-bottom boats; every movement of your feet and hands illuminates the water’s glow.

If your visit to Puerto Rico aligns with the waxing crescent phase (50%) up to the full moon, this is an experience not to be missed! This tour is tailored for the full moon cycle, as moonlight can lessen the visibility of bioluminescent organisms.

Located just 2 hours from San Juan and 1.5 hours from Aguadilla to Chiliboats Parguera.

• Height Requirements: Minimum height: 4’6” (54 inches / 137 cm / 1.37 m) Maximum height: 6’5” (77 inches / 196 cm / 1.96 m).Age Requirements: Children 10 years or older may participate if they meet the height requirement.
• Weight Limits: The tour is conducted on a double Chiliboat. To ensure everyone’s safety, it is important that individual weight does not exceed 250 pounds, and combined weight of two people on a Chiliboat must not exceed 450 pounds. Before each tour, we will conduct weight checks. If someone in your group exceeds these limits, unfortunately, will NOT be able to participate, and will NOT receive refund. Share this information with all members of your group to avoid any inconveniences.
• What to Bring: Only essentials, as space is limited. Wear water shoes, sandals, or water-resistant sneakers for boarding/disembarking, swimsuit, shorts, leggings, or comfortable exercise clothing.
• Identification: You must present ID and the credit card used for the reservation. Both must match for verification during check-in. The person making the reservation is responsible for informing all their companions about the arrival time, requirements, and all pertinent information for the tour.
• There are no restroom facilities available as we are in a natural reserve. Please plan accordingly to ensure your comfort during the tour.
• Bioluminescence is a natural phenomenon, and its intensity may vary due to factors beyond our control. Our guides are dedicated to providing you with the best experience possible.
• Swimming is not permitted by order of the Department of Natural Resources (Regulation No. 2023-02 and Regulation 8013).
• Two experiences during the full moon cycle (50%-100%):
A magical ride during full moon nights where the combination of the moon’s silver light and the subtle bioluminescent glow creates a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.
• We offer different excursions; make sure you choose the correct tour and location. In the Caribbean, brief showers are common, but tours will proceed as scheduled. The decision to cancel or continue will be made at the meeting point based on the guide’s experience.
• We reserve the right of admission.
• Not suitable for people with claustrophobia or fear of the dark. If you have heart or medical conditions, consult with your doctor and bring necessary medications.
