Aamazing, Unforgettable Experience! - This was a wonderful experience! Our guide and our captain were great! We saw lots of dolphins, swam with sealions, saw and learned about protected beaches, saw a Blue-footed Booby, and had lunch under canopies on Espiritu Santo. It was unforgettable. We took so many pictures to share with our family and friends. Thanks for such good memories.

Take this tour even with young ones - We showed up at the meeting place and it turned out to be the wrong area. Thankfully our crew did everything we needed to make it right. Once on the boat Hazel, Alan and our captain Juan did everything they could to take care of us. The islands were spectacular. The beaches were unbelievably beautiful. We snorkeled some areas that rivaled Cabo Pulmo and our lunch was very good. We would definitely do this trip again. What a great day

A fantastic day on the water in La Paz - The whole day was wonderful…..from the time we arrived at the store, received the wet suits, walked to the boat and then took off for the day. Snorkeling with the sea lions and wonderful fish, and then again at the reef….fantastic! Our guide was so knowledgeable……we were the only gringos among the Spanish tourist but he spoke great English. Balandra beach, is magnificent and the other beaches we were at equally beautiful. Our lunch was delicious…..fish ceviche to die for…..could not stop eating it. If you wanted there was salad and ham and cheese to make sandwiches. Plenty of jicama and pineapple as well as cold.pop or water. We also stopped and saw a whale breaching and a big pod of dolphins.

Def recommend - Great experience!! Yes you spend more time on the boat than anything, but none the less I recommend. The beaches are so clean and beautiful. We saw dolphins, sea lions, and humpback whales. Our tour got canceled on the day of original reservations, but because the wind was really strong that day. They let us know day of for the rescheduling, which was completely fine with us. The provided delicious ceviche, fruit, sandwiches and drinks. Guides were so nice and full of knowledge. Recommend this tour to everyone.

Great day adventure for a family - This adventure was great. I went with a 9 and 11 year old and they had a great time. The food was good and water was beautiful. The ponga boat was very packed though. More space would have been nice. We saw a few gray whales, common dolphin, sea lions and reefs with lots of fish. No whale sharks in February at the moment.

False advertising and dangerous - The tour states we should arrive at the Pita’s tour location at 10:30, which we did. Apparently pick up from our hotel was included but it was never stated on the tour advertised in TripAdvisor. When we got to Pita’s, they said we would leave the tour office at 10:50. That didn’t happen. Once we did depart about 11:05 am, we then had to walk to the dock (about 3-5 minutes) to pick up the boat. We probably didn’t get on the boat until around 11:30. They advertise that the maximum number of people on the tour is 15. There were 20 passengers on the boat and 2 crew making sitting very very tight. I couldn’t move. The boat appeared to be weighed down such that if one person moves, there is a disconcerting shift in the balance of the boat. Once we were all packed in , like that of refugees, on the over-capacity boat, we traveled at a disconcerting high speed to an area where one can swim near sea lions. We didn’t go in because the water was cold, and there were no wetsuits provided. Then we went to different parts of Espiritu Santo and ate lunch at approximately 2:50 pm. The lunch was ceviche which was decent but the cheese and ham sandwiches were ones you had to make yourself. The cheese was American cheese and the ham was some kind of square processed food. We stayed away from the sandwiches. No napkins were provided. The tour guides failed to inform us that there was a shallow and warm watered coral reef that you can walk out to at our lunch stop at Espiritu Santo. By the time we discovered the reef, we only had about 10 minutes to snorkel. I do want to point out three things. There were bees on the beaches. So if you’re allergic, bring your epi-pen. One of our fellow passengers got stung. One part of Espiritu Santo has a rocky area at the entrance to the water. You have to walk through it to go in deeper. So bring water shoes. Also the captain travels fairly close to the shore which is unsettling. There is little information provided by the tour guides, and while they say it’s a bilingual tour, it’s primarily Spanish speaking. A crew member did translate into English but would truncate the message such as telling Spanish people to not go over the dunes because there are rattlesnakes. The English version was simply to not go over the dunes. When we were at one part of Espiritu Santo, the ranger was there and asked how many people were on the boat. The captain said 19. Maybe he didn’t include the young girl. Not sure if he was also including the crew. But as I noted, it was 22. The guides had not handed out wrist bands for Espiritu Santu, only for Balandra Beach (our final stop). The ranger noted this absence which prompted the guides to hand them out. This made me believe that tour people were trying to save money, if they could, by keeping the bands to use only when the ranger was around. Prior to our tour, we had met a man on the beach at La Paz who had paid $100 a person to take a boat to these places. I highly recommend you find a tour like that because being packed like sardines on a boat was not worth the $120 or so per person we payed, nor was it worth our time. And if you think you’re going to get any real eco-tour, well we didn’t. Lastly, while the beaches are beautiful, I think I was too annoyed by all the problems with the tour that I wasn’t able to appreciate them. After all, fearing for one’s life took up too much of my emotional energy.
