Balandra Bay lives up to the hype! - We were picked up at our hotel right on time in a very comfortable van with AC. Our tour guide Jonathan was outstanding! The way he could switch from Spanish to English was incredible. Jonathan was very knowledgable about La Paz history. First we went to their beatiful Cathedral where Jonathan spoke about the history of the mission in La Paz which was very interesting. Then we moved on to the Museum of Anthropology and History. It was such a beautifully done museum, we could have spent all day there. Again, Jonathan was filled with facts and interesting stories. The itinerary listed a trip to an artisan area, but I think we stayed so long at the museum that there wasn't time. We needed to get to Balandra Bay in time to be allowed in the second round for the day. The Bay is protected and only 450 people are allowed in twice a day. The drive to the bay was beautiful and Jonathan gave us interesting facts along the way. When we got to Balandra we were instructed to not take ANYTHING from the beach - not shells, rocks or even sand. The bay was so pristine and peaceful. Pictures do not do it justice. It was very low tide when we got there so it was an easy walk in knee deep water to hike to the famous "mushroom rock". The water was as clear as seeing through a glass window and was relatively warm for February. We stayed there for 2 hours, just the right amount of time to explore and take in the incredible scenery. Our last stop was at Tecolote Beach where we had a delicious lunch which was included in the price. This tour was very well put together and we had a great time. Thank you Jonathan for being such a great, knowlegeable and friendly guide. And thank you Ricardo for being such a good, safe driver! Highly recommend this tour and tour company. Well worth the amount we paid.

Wonderful Way to Explore and Learn about LaPaz! - What a lovely day and way to explore LaPaz and its downtown and beautiful beaches! Jonathan is wonderful -- he's a well-informed and personable guide who added lots of relevant detail to the tour. Raul is a great driver! We had an amazing day exploring and learning about LaPaz and the original inhabitants and culture. Balandra Beach did not disappoint! Gorgeous space for all senses! The day finished up with a delicious meal of shrimp tacos at an Oceanside restaurant.

The perfect tour! - The guide shared the history of the city and state. The museum was really cool as well as the downtown tour. The cherry on top was Playa Balandra. As for the lunch meal... It was one of the best shrimp tacos I've ever eaten.

No Balandra beach! Big disappointment - Huge disappointment. They don’t understand that the main reason why people book this tour is to go to Balandra beach. Poorly planned so by the time we go to Balandra beach, it was too late and we couldn’t go in. They skipped another one of the attractions listed in the tour description but the big disappointment was definitely the fact that they got to Balandra too late and we couldn’t get in.

Poorly planned, no Balandra beach! - They don’t plan the tour well so by the time we got to Balandra beach, it was too late. We couldn’t go in. I guess they don’t understand that the main reason why people would book the tour is to go to the Balandra beach. They skipped two of the attractions listed in the tour description and we only saw the malecon from the van, no opportunity for pictures there. Big disappointment.
