We had a blast - We had an awesome afternoon with 4xFour Tours — driving an ATV through the Mogote dunes is an absolute blast, and there’s also a really cool stretch that goes among these giant tree-like cactuses. We stopped at a high dune — 360 degree view around the whole natural park and out over the sea — and our guide David gave us helpful instructions on how to get started sandboarding, which was really fun too. Altogether, we highly recommend this ATV and sandboarding tour and we highly recommend this company. David was great, and the people at the office were very helpful in arranging (and when our plans changed, rearranging) our tour and pick up at hotel. 5 stars for sure!

Highly recommend!! - I was initially a bit hesitant because there weren’t that many reviews but very happy with the whole experience. We got picked up from our hotel with an ATV, to the office to sign waivers and get helmets etc, then we went on a fun ATV ride for quite some time. At some point, we were riding by the beach and it was so beautiful. Sandboarding was so much fun. We got on AtV to get up the hill every time we went down. My 11 year old daughter could slide down the hill no problem. High recommend and a must do when in La Paz!!

Awesome trip - Our Guide Rodrigo was awesome! We took this trip to celebrate my birthday and try something new. It was just perfect. The ATV ride to the dunes was a thrill and Rodrigo was truly the best driver I have ever had . Highly recommended

Still smiling!!! - As I sit on the plane headed home I am overcome with sadness to be leaving La Paz. My sand boarding excursion yesterday with 4x4 tours was a highlight and such an amazing day it makes it harder to leave. I was doing this activity solo and felt like I found some new friends to play with! I was lucky enough to have another solo traveler join and we immediately bonded over this amazing shared experience. Not only was Eddy a great and competent guide plus a awesome driver. He coached me just enough and cheered me on while I sand boarded for the first time. I slayed it, if I do say so myself haha. He constantly checked in to see if we wanted more: faster rides and bigger dunes, yes please! Milly from 4x4 was with us as well. She was learning to drive and sand boarded with us. Her love for the El Mogote was contagious — she’ll make a badass guide. Go Milly!!!! Easy to book via WhatsApp or drop by their location. To top it off, I was picked up and dropped off at my Bn’B! Sick experience all around — 10 stars!!!!

Go-to adventure servixe - Highly recommend booking 4xfour! We ended up booking it last minute with 2 other girl friends and they were very communicative, prepared (they had everything you needed from gear to gatorade), friendly and overall a great time! It was a great adventure! The views and sandboarding were great and it’s so close to La Paz it’s definitely worth it!

Great experience! - Andrea was an amazing host! The drive to the location is about 20min and you’re in one of those cage cars on the freeway. It’s very windy so bring a sweater and wear goggles. It was just me and her and I had a great time! We made a quick stop for empanadas since we didn’t have breakfast and that was the best empanada I ever had. The drive was actually my favorite part. The location is really beautiful with the sand dunes, ocean, and cacti. We saw some whale shark fins in the water and part of a whale skeleton. She’s a great driver and driving through the dunes was like a long roller coaster ride! We started at a smallish hill that was still a bit scary to me but practicing went fine. I’ve done surfing and snow boarding but this is just full speed straight down hill. Then we went to the main hill which is huge and way steeper than I imagined. It was too scary so I sled down it on my butt a few times to feel the speed. Then I tried it standing a couple times and fell a lot but one try I almost got to the bottom but flew off like 10 fell away from my board. The sand it soft but it’s still quite dangerous since it’s so fast. I got sand absolutely everywhere on my body. Climbing back up is a big workout so I recommend going in the morning so the sand isn’t scorching hot. I think this was a one time experience for me but I would go ATVing with them. I’m glad I didn’t break an ankle! Andrea also does covid rapid tests at your apartment! She did mine the day before my flight and was very professional and quick!

Great fun sliding down sand with beautiful views back to La Paz - This was a really fun tour out to the beautiful dunes through the cactus fields to the north of La Paz. The team at Four x Four tours were excellent. Hotel pick up, then a great drive out to the dunes through some wonderful scenery on a quad bike and then onto the sandboard to master the tricky art of sliding down sand. Tip - there is no shade out there so appropriate clothing / lots of sunscreen is a must. Highly recommend.

🔥 🔥 - Thisone definitely comes top of the list of most fun things ever! Quique you are a star! Felt a bit awkard arriving by myself, but got the best full on 4x4 sandboarding, duneracing, swimming, eating sand, swimming some more and eating more sand experience. Including coyote footprint exploration, and a lost and recovered glove. Thanks 4xfour for the flexibility. Unforgettable afternoon!
