Whales put on a show - A fabulous day from our Airbnb pick-up to the drive to the port, to seeing lots of whales close up, to the scrupulous lunch at the port to the ride home. Great guide, driver and boat captain. Best part: great whale and dolphin watching!!!

Unfortunately we were not... - Unfortunately we were not able to complete our tour with this company due to the weather, but Alejandra could not have been more communicative or helpful throughout the week. We will definitely use this company when we return to La Paz! Thank you, Alejandra!

Wonderful experience swimming with whale sharks - danger-free! - Did a friends group tour to swim with the whale sharks, and it was an incredible experience! They take max 9 people on these open canopied boats. It took about 45-60 minutes to get to the sandbar where the juvenile sharks congegrate, and all boats going there have to check in with the marine park authorities. We were given wetsuit shorties to wear while swimming which really helped in the cold January waters. And they advised us ahead of the day to dress warm given the wind/weather forecast, so definitely bring a few layers and towels if you go during this time of year! Our guide/marine biologist Karen was knowledgeable about the sharks and has been doing this for several years so knows the 'locals' in the shark population. Our captain Daniel was also great - he joked around with us and even gave the coat off his back to one of our group who was really cold. You will get the chance to do a couple of short swims with the sharks, with only a few people at a time and only following one shark so as not to stress them out. You have to swim fast because these juveniles are agile! It's a great way to see wildlife with respect for their environment. And they will take gopro footage of you and the shark to send to you later. And if you're a bit hesitant because you're not a water baby yourself, don't fear. Karen literally took me by the hand and swam me close to the shark so I could see it (and it's magnified even more underwater!), and I wore a lifejacket as I'm not a strong swimmer. Highly recommend MeXplore!

Wonderful and memorable experience for our family ! - Jaime was our marine biologist guide and Alejandro our boat captain. They were professional , knowledgeable and attentive! My husband and I brought our daughter for her 12th bday present and it was amazing. Not only did we swim with a whale shark but saw humpback whales , dolphin pods and sea lions. I would recommend this above and behind to all ! It made our trip :)

Great trip with the whale sharks, with the bonus of seeing humpbacks and dolphins - Jaime (guide) and Alejandro (captian) did an amazing job. The conditions were not optimal as there was a lot of chop and the water was kind of murky, but they persisted and got everyone on the boat a great experience. We got to interact with about a 20 foot whale shark and followed it around everyone got to swim with it. As a bonus we saw a family of humpback whales, and a pod of dolphins. It was an excellent trip, I want to do it again in clear water.
