Bucket List- CHECK - We truly lucked out on this trip with our marine biologist and the crew. She was so knowledgeable about the whale sharks and would take 6 people at a time snorkeling to the ones we saw. This was truly a bucket list snorkle for sure.

A Remarkable Encounter - This is an enriching experience on multiple levels. Our guide's genuine concern for both our group's well-being and the marine environment were commendable. Despite being at the tail end of the season, fortune smiled upon us, granting a breathtaking encounter with a majestic whale shark. The visibility during the encounter was pristine, allowing for a truly immersive experience. Additionally, our return journey was graced by the presence of playful dolphins, adding an extra layer of enchantment to an already extraordinary day.

Amazing eco-conscious experience - This was a really exceptional experience. Karen, our guide, was kind and super knowledgable. It was awesome to know the lengths she and Mexplore go to make sure their tour is as sustainable and eco-friendly as possible. We saw two whale sharks and had a lot of time in the water with one. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Very special whale shark experience - This was an excellent high quality tour. The marine biologist guide was knowledgeable and invested in giving us a wonderful experience. It was my daughter and I and her two sons, 8 and 10. Carla was great with the two boys. The captain knew exactly how to position the boat to get us close to the shark. The boat was well maintained and the gear we were given like new. We also were given GoPro pictures and videos of our experience. This is my third trip with this company and I will continue to use them. Their communication with me prior to the trip was very good.

Magical experience - Was simply amazing! Swimming with these beautiful large animals was just magical. Tour was very well organized - didn‘t feel rushed or chaotic at all. They had us put on our wetsuits before we left the harbour, so we were already fully prepared for when we reached the whale shark area. Carla and the captain took very good care of us - she was clearly very passionate about the animals, and also managed to keep up with the whale shark all the time! Prepare for some swimming exercise though - the sharks may not think they are swimming fast, but you definitely will!

10/10 - So awesome! Would recommend. They take you out in a small group and there are only a certain number of boats allowed out so as to not overcrowd or stress out the whale sharks. Was an amazing experience swimming next to them.

Leisurely swim up close and personal with the whalesharks - This tour far exceeded our expectations. In Exmouth, WA, we did a whaleshark cruise but they seemed to whizz by far too quickly as we struggled to swim as fast as we could to get a few extra seconds. Here, in La Paz, it was quite the opposite. We must have spent an hour swimming right next to a juvenile and infant whaleshark at the most leisurely pace. Carla and the crew were great. Highly recommended to any visitor to La Paz.

MeXplore Small Whaleshark snorkel trip was awesome! - We went with MeXplore for just the whaleshark snorkeling trip and had a wonderful time. Very professional, informative, and organized. We were supplied with shortie wetsuits (wear two if you get super cold like I do!), fins, snorkels, and snacks/drinks. There were just 8 guests in the boat. 4 could swim with the whaleshark at a time. Saw many whalesharks and got as close to them as we were allowed (within 6 feet). Carla, our marine biology student and guide, took pictures and emailed them to us for free! Highly recommend this company and small sized group.
