Salar de Uyuni - We will leave Uyuni in the morning around 10 / 10.30 and the first visit to the train cemetery where you can see the old rusty trains for decades. After this we proceed to Colchani and testify how the salt is processed before arriving at the Salinas themselves and seeing the “Salt Eyes”, where the water flows through the salt plains. We will see that the salt has been placed in piles ready to be transported, the original salt hotel (is no longer used for guests) and visit Inca Huasi (Fish Island) to see the giant cactus and have excellent views of the salt pans throughout . There will be plenty of time to take amazing photos before moving on to another island, Pia Pia Island, to watch the sunset and take some awesome photos before making our way to the salt hotel in the town of Ajencha for dinner and spend the night. In the establishment, there will be a telescope that can be used to do a little observation of the stars before going to bed.

Visiting the Salar de Uyuni offers a once-in-a-lifetime encounter, yet the level of amenities and services in such an isolated area falls short. We want to clarify upfront that the reliability, comfort, and professionalism may not be up to standard on these tours, whereby we don’t overpromise. The lodging and food are very basic and owing to the rough terrains, vehicle breakdowns are not rare occurrences.
Still intrigued? Good, because if you can handle a bit of challenge, a great time awaits. Do bring along extra snacks, plenty of warm attire and a sleeping bag (which is inclusive in this package - request for it prior to departing) to make the accommodation conditions more bearable.
Our 3-day “sunset” tour of the Salar de Uyuni comes with a bilingual (English) guide, and the first night is meant for double or triple occupancy.
We strive to provide a unique and safe adventure for tourists.
