Uyuni Salt Flat - Tahua

La Paz - The Salar de Uyuni is one of the most breathtaking natural wonders on Earth, offering a unique opportunity to experience the grandeur of nature.

The tour begins at approximately 07:00 am, depending on the flight schedule. Guests will be picked up from their hotel in La Paz and transferred to El Alto International Airport. The flight to Uyuni takes about 45 minutes. Upon arrival at Uyuni Airport, guests will meet their professional guide and private driver.

Train Cemetery - The Train Cemetery in Uyuni is a significant tourist attraction. This desolate site is filled with abandoned railway machinery. The sight of twisted iron and unused locomotives evokes thoughts of their glorious past in the early 20th century when the rise of silver mining necessitated railway construction, and Uyuni was the first place in Bolivia to hear a train whistle.

Colchani - Colchani is home to 580 residents whose livelihoods are tied to salt extraction, agriculture (notably quinoa), crafts, and tourism. It is a must-stop on the way to the majestic Uyuni salt flat. The area is known for its small houses made of salt bricks, and attractions include the salt factory and craft stalls on the main street.

Isla Incahuasi - The tour continues with a stop at the salt piles and a visit to the Salt Museum. Guests will enjoy the stunning landscape from the top of Incahuasi Island, located in the middle of the salt flat, offering a breathtaking 360° view of the Salar.

Tunupa Volcano - The journey proceeds to the base of Tunupa Volcano, where lunch will be served amidst the Salar, providing a magnificent view.

Uyuni Salt Flat - Witness one of the most beautiful sunsets on Earth, enjoy perspective photography, and experience the mesmerizing reflection of the sky on the ground.

Tahua - Partridge Eye

Laguna Hedionda - Along the Chilean border, following the “Ruta de las Joyas,” guests will visit the small, colorful lagoons Chiarkota and Hedionda, sanctuaries for three varieties of flamingos.

Laguna Canapa - The Cañapa Lagoon is a stunning lake surrounded by Andean plants, with shores that have whitish edges due to saline deposits. Visitors can take surreal photos of the Andean landscape and observe flocks of flamingos nearby, along with Andean gulls, wild vicuñas, and some vizcachas.

Salar de Chiguana - The tour crosses the Salar de Chiguana, another salt formation bordering Chile, surrounded by volcanoes in shades of grey, silver, red, and white. The site is notable for its railway, which runs from Abaroa Station to Uyuni.

San Juan de Rosario - Guests will visit San Juan del Rosario, home to the Necropolis Museum.

Siloli Desert - The journey enters a desert area, showcasing a variety of colors that unfold with each turn.

Partridge Eye – San Pedro de Atacama

Arbol de Piedra - The route includes the extensive grounds of the Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve, a protected area in Bolivia with a unique ecosystem featuring incredible natural phenomena. Visitors will explore one of the driest places on Earth, a desert known for strong winds and fascinating volcanic rock formations, including the Stone Tree.

Laguna Colorada - The tour visits Laguna Colorada, the most important nesting site in the area for three species of flamingos. The lagoon’s red color is due to algae that react to solar radiation and wind.

Geiser Sol de la Manana - Guests will cross the Geysers, known as the Geysers of Sol de Mañana, where rare vapors on Earth are most spectacular in the morning with the first light of day. This is the highest point of the tour, at 5000 meters above sea level.

Aguas Termales de Polques - The desert and Salar de Chalviri offer a landscape that combines the white of snow with the reddish-brown of the desert and the blue of the water. Guests will have the opportunity to swim in the Polques hot springs.

Desierto Dali - The journey continues to the Valley of the Ladies, an impressive sight with unique rock formations.

Laguna Verde - The tour proceeds to the beautiful Laguna Verde, a border crossing between Chile and Bolivia.

San Pedro de Atacama - The journey concludes at Hito Cajones, where after a vehicle change, guests will continue to their hotel in San Pedro de Atacama, arriving at approximately 3:00 p.m.
