Highlights
- La Paz - Depart from La Paz at 7:00 am to the Tiquina Mirador viewpoint, arriving around 9:45 am and catching the ferry to cross the Tiquina crossing.
- Copacabana - Around 12:00 pm, you will arrive in Copacabana and have an hour free before departure at 1:00 pm.
- Isla del Sol - At 1:00 pm, you will board the boat to Isla del Sol arriving around 2:30 pm, and you will be dropped off at Yumami at the south end of the island.
- Isla del Sol - From 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, you will be able to walk around the sun temple Pilkokaina and the coast of Yumani.
- Copacabana - At 3:30 pm. you will go on the boat back to Copacabana from Yumani port. Arriving around 5:00 pm.
You will have about 45 minutes in Copacana to buy some snacks.
- La Paz - Around 5:45 pm, the bus departs from La Paz from the White Anchor. At 7:00 pm, you will go through the Tiquina crossing.
Arriving in La Paz around 10:30 pm.

Great tour with great views! - On our way from Puno to La Paz we had a stop of a few hours in Copacabana and since we're going to La Paz with Bolivia Hop, we added this tour so that we can make good use of the spare hours here in Copacanana/Isla del Sol! It was a very good decision! The weather was nice, the views were amazing and our guide Luis was the best we could have asked for! He's very polite, friendly, attentive, open to any kind of question, and his english is really good!
We had a well spent afternoon here in Copacabana/Isla del Sol and are looking forward to continuing our journey to La Paz with Bolivia Hop :)

Great day with Bolivia Hop, our guide Abner was excellent! - Bolivia was the first leg of my trip - after a few days in La Paz I started my month-long trip with Bolivia/Peru Hop. (Peru Hop is a separate review). We were picked up at our hotel at the break of dawn and drove for a few hours to Copacabana where we had lunch before heading to Isla del Sol for an 1 and 1/2 hour hike at over 4,000 meters. Afterward, we headed to the Peruvian border. Abner our guide was present at every step of the trip, providing us with important information, and making sure everyone was comfortable and well-informed while being considerate friendly, and professional. 5-star services!

Luis the Guide very resolute and empathetic - The Guide’s concern to anticipate each moment and take the necessary precautions was the highlight. Bolivian hop & Isla del sol - The trip was great. We went on Isla del Sol and the Bolivian guide was with us, so no need to worry not to get the boat back. Everything is well organized and Luis answered all questions and took care of us. Makes the travel from Peru to Bolivia so comfortable and still can see the beautiful island Isla del sol.

Very tiring but amazing! - It was very intense and tiring, but an amazing tour. Specially because of the guide Luis, someone who knows how to talk perfectly in English and Spanish at the same time, explain things without being annoying and has a great smile all the time. Luis made the trip even better! For someone without lot of time like me, this trip worth all the effort.
