Highlights
- Mi Teleferico - We will start at the San Fransisco Church, visit the witches market of La Paz, San Pedro square and the infamous jail (from the outside)Then you will take various cable car lines and learn about the city from the sky. You will also visit the witches market of El Alto, very different from the first one you will see in La Paz, and on thursdays and sundays a bit of the giant flea market up there. Afterwards you will head back down to La Paz to visit our beautiful Jaen street and then you will go to the main square to see the cathedral and all the government buildings, you will walk through open air markets and various shops and finish back in San Francisco church.

During this 3-hour, guided, walking tour of La Paz, learn the fascinating culture behind this Bolivian city in the sky, and hear the myths, history, and legends behind the buildings and streets. Along with your local guide and a group of no more than 15 people, you’ll browse through the stalls of the Witches Market and see the La Paz Cathedral, as well as learn the infamous history behind San Pedro Prison.

Very informative tour! - Illimani took us on a walking tour and took us on the cable carts! He was very passionate about his city and could tell us alot about the history and present of bolivia!
Safe to say it was a very good informative tour!

View from the top - Nice to see La Paz and El Alto by riding a different teleferico and view it from above. Very interesting history and of course the witches market.

Our guide Illimani was... - Our guide Illimani was great! there were English & Spanish speaking tourists in our group and he catered to both. There was a thunder & lightning storm while we were doing the tour, the cable cars were stopped while the thunderstorm passed which was unexpected. Illimani did his best to keep us out of the rain and within minutes he found alternative transportation for us since the cable cars temporarily closed. The rain stopped shortly after and we resumed the walking portion of the tour.

Illimani was the perfect guide for this amazing tour. - Illimani was extremely knowledgable and insightful, and revealed so much about La Paz and El Alto. The tour never felt too long or too focused on one specific aspect of life in La Paz but instead offered a multifaceted and diverse approach stretching from local culture to economic customs and national politics.
