We’ll visit the Las Velas food area, where cholas prepare anticuchos (grilled beef heart) until dawn. Next, we’ll take private transportation to the Teleférico (cable car)…
Join us for a city walk as we discuss the people of La Paz, their sociocultural context, the Aymara culture, customs, and the rise of the chola (women in skirts) as a cultural symbol. We’ll visit the Las Velas food area, where cholas prepare anticuchos (grilled beef heart) until dawn. Next, we’ll take private transportation to the Teleférico (cable car) and head to El Alto, where we’ll enjoy a traditional linaza drink (boiled linseed infusion). We’ll then return by cable car to the peaceful Sopocachi neighborhood and walk to one of La Paz’s best viewpoints. Here, we’ll savor El Inca bicervecina (a national barley drink), toast to Pachamama (a traditional Andean deity ritual), take photos of the La Paz nightscape, and engage in a discussion on national literature while listening to Bolivian music.
