Come Hungry!!! - My husband and I had an amazing time on the food tour. We loved all the food options that we would have never known to try on our own. We were lucky to have Marisol as our guide. She is very lovely and knowledgable. We felt so comfortable with her right from the start! Highly recommend experiencing while in La Paz.

Nice intro to Bolivian culture - This was a great entry to both Bolivian food culture and life overall as our guide was really knowledgeable, and answered plenty of questions with perfect English and a lot of knowledge. We started in the couple of food markets followed by a few restaurants while seeing the evening life of La Paz and learning about Bolivian culture. Nut soup was my favorite and had that again today. I'd recommend ordering a multivitamina without sugar as it's better that way. There will be plenty of food but to avoid waste you may tell the guide if you want a smaller portion or skip one of the places.

Perfect tour to get to know the Bolovian Cuisine and Culture! - I’m really happy with this tour. Honestly, it could not have been any better. Not only was the food excellent and diverse, but also the tour guide is very kind and happy to answer any question about the food or the country! I can only recommend it, it’s the perfect start to discover La Paz and Bolivia in general. Kind regards from Germany.

Don't eat before the tour 😁 - On our second day in La Paz we went on an amazing food tour organized by Red Cap and lead by our guide, Daniel. On the tour we tried a lot of different foods and he showed us where to find his favorite food-spots. He was really nice and his English was perfect! Can highly recommend going on the red Cap Food and beer tour while in La Paz!

Great introduction to Bolivian food - Great opportunity to try local food and drinks on the street, at a market and in restaurants. Local guide who was able to answer all of my questions and I left with a very full belly! I would recommend skipping lunch and pacing yourself on the tour so you can try everything!

10 OUT OF 10 - I really enjoyed the tour - it was great mixture of typical street food and other typical dishes in Bolivia/La Paz region. It's definitely good to bring a lot of appetite, since there will be plenty of food. Other guide also told us interesting infos about the life in Bolivia in general. DEFINITELY A RECOMMENDATION!

Alright - Alright then, gather 'round, because I've got a story about Red Cap Walking Tours in La Paz, Bolivia. Now, picture this: I've just landed in what feels like the highest city in the world - literally, not figuratively, because I'm sure there's still some place in the Himalayas that's got it beat. But La Paz? It's like stepping onto the set of a sci-fi film where the air's so thin, you think you've accidentally taken up smoking again. So, I sign up for this Red Cap Walking Tour, thinking, "How hard can walking be at this altitude?" Very, apparently. But let's get to the review, shall we? The Tour: First off, the guides. They're like local superheroes without the capes but with red caps - very subtle branding. Our guide, let's call him Max because that was his name, was a walking encyclopedia but with the charisma of someone who's been through the wringer of Bolivian politics and come out the other side with a PhD in storytelling. Knowledgeable? Check. Entertaining? Double check. The Sights: We started at San Pedro Prison - not exactly the best place for a picnic, but fascinating. It was like walking through the plot of "Marching Powder" but with fewer chances of getting shanked. Then, the markets - witches included - because apparently, in La Paz, everyone's into a bit of magic, which is just the kind of nonsense you need when you're gasping for air. The food tour part? Oh, that was a revelation. Imagine eating something that looks like it's been through a blender but tastes like heaven. And then, there's the cable car ride - or as I like to call it, the Bolivian roller coaster with less screaming. The Experience: Now, here's the kicker. These tours aren't free anymore, which is a bit like being told you have to pay for air up here. But for what you get, it's a bargain. You learn about the city, the culture, the history, all while trying not to pass out from the altitude. The Crowd: You meet all sorts on these tours. From the backpackers who've seen too many sunsets and lost their sense of direction to the retirees who think they're on a pilgrimage. Score: 8 out of 10 - because even though it's brilliant, you still might want to pack an oxygen tank. And remember, the tour ends with a shot of Singani, which might just make you forget you're in one of the highest cities on Earth... until you try to walk home. So, if you're in La Paz and fancy a stroll through the surreal, Red Cap Walking Tours is your man... or woman... or guide with a red cap. Just don't forget to tip - they're the ones helping you navigate this mad, beautiful mess.
