Excellent tour - This is a great tour! For one the drive is stunning through the Bolivian countryside. Secondly, if you are into history at all this tour is so rich. The guide was extremely knowledgeable!

Highly Recommended in Bolivia - We had a great experience in Tiwanaku. The tour started slightly late due to traffic but we still had plenty of time to look around. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, would highly recommend.

Tiwanaku - A well-organized tour, pick-up and return to La Paz... everything is well-organized to discover Tiwanaku: sites and museums, with the option of lunch.

Pleasant experience but a lot of effort from the guide - Getting to know the ruins and their history is a great experience, it's a shame the guide sometimes went very fast and didn't allow us to take photos calmly.

Good informative guide. Good value tour - We had a very good day with Omar at Tiwanaku ruins. Pick up was on time, it took us about 1.5h to get to the archeological ruins, then we visit the 2 museums and the ruins later. Omar add a lot of information both in the museums and the ruins. We had plenty of time in every stop and the group was quite small. Do not expect great in depth ruins as only 30% is excavated, but the interesting information that Omar added was decisive to understand the importance of this civilization in this region. The tour is about 6-7h, a short and nice tour from La Paz that we highly recommend. The lunch is in a local restaurant, nice food and not expensive.

Great tour, over an hour wait for pick up! - The tour itself was excellent, especially the tour guide Teresa. She was very knowledgeable about the site, gave detailed explanations about the history and meaning of the ruins. But there was a communication problem with pickup. I waited for more than an hour and was calling and emailing the agency trying to find out was going on. Apparently, the pick up location was incorrectly communicated to the driver. I would suggest that the agency collect whatsapp numbers from all participants and COMMUNICATE with us if there is a problem or delay.

Great overall - + : flexible (they pick you up at your hôtel), lunch was great with local good - : really quick (especially the museum parts). We were two people, one speaking fluently spanish and we noticed that the explanations were shorter/not complete in english. It could be better to have a tour in english and one in spanish separated because it was really long when the guide speaks in both langages... (We had lunch at 1.30pm, for a departure of La Paz at 8.30am)

I love history and... - I love history and enjoyed seeing the ruins. I think the trip could have been shorter as there was a lot of repetition and the guide spent more time talking than I would have preferred. This wasn’t helped that it was in both Spanish and English so the focus was in Spanish and I started to tune out what the guide was saying, not finding the talk beneficial. There was only 1 person in our group who opted for the lunch which meant the group was sat waiting for an hour whilst the guides and 1 visitor had a sit down lunch.

Site Needs More Excavation to be a Worthwhile Tour - The trip to Tiwanaku was in a 10 large van. The tour guide had no microphone and could not be heard over the road noise. The 1000 speed bumps on the way and back made the ride very uncomfortable. It would have been ok if the Tiwanaku sight was not so disappointing. According to the guide, only 10% of the archaeological site is exposed, and much of it was restored and not original. The monoliths were great, and the guides theory of their creation was excellent. But I would not recommend the trip until more of the site is excavated.

ALL TERRIBLE. ESCAPE FROM THIS TOUR - The whole tour was horrible. The archaeological site is very far from the center of La Paz. The roads are horrible. The van that took me was falling apart. The tour cost R$ 190 REAIS and even so the Van was from the last century, its front window was broken and it was dirty inside. The air didn't work either and as there were 12 tourists besides me, apart from the guide and the driver, it became unbearable. On TripAdvisor it says that entry costs R$15 to the archaeological site, but that's a lie. It cost 100 Bolivianos and the place is poorly maintained and is one of the worst archaeological sites I have ever seen. To top it off, the guide stopped for 2 and a half hours to have lunch. Exactly that, it was 2 and a half hours of lunch. Terrible experience. To get bad, they need to improve.
