La Paz to Uyuni

La Paz - Guests will be collected from their hotel in La Paz at 6:00 AM and transferred to El Alto International Airport for a flight to Uyuni.

Uyuni - After a 45-minute flight, guests will arrive at Uyuni International Airport, where they will be greeted by an English-speaking professional guide and driver. A delightful American-style buffet breakfast will be served at a popular local café.

Train Cemetery - The journey begins with a visit to an open-air museum featuring ancient and impressive field trains. Guests will enter the Salar via Colchani to observe the salt processing, view salt mounds, and visit a salt hotel.

Isla Incahuasi - The tour continues downtown to explore Incahuasi Island, known for its volcanic rock and giant cacti.

Uyuni Salt Flat - This area offers opportunities to climb for breathtaking views of the white salt plain. Guests will spend the night in a private room at the Salt Hostel.

Salar de Uyuni to Desierto Siloli

Laguna Hedionda - On the second day, the journey heads south, where numerous flamingos can be seen. Other birds, such as geese and Andean gulls, accompany the flamingos in these lagoons, surrounded by snow-capped volcanoes.

Siloli Desert - The tour continues through the desert sands to reach the hotel. Guests will stay overnight in a private room, enjoying the sunset over one of the world’s most stunning landscapes.

Desierto Siloli to Salar de Uyuni

Geiser Sol de la Manana - At dawn, guests will explore the Sol de Mañana geysers, the highest point of the route at approximately 5,000 meters above sea level.

Aguas Termales de Polques - The intense cold reveals pools where the land appears to boil red. The desert and Salar de Chalviri offer a striking landscape with white snow, ocher desert, blue water, and white borax. Guests can bathe in Termas de Polques and enjoy a hearty outdoor breakfast.

Laguna Verde - After leaving the desert valley, guests will visit Laguna Verde at the base of Licancabur Volcano, arriving just in time to witness the water change from emerald green to a duller blueish-green.

Laguna Colorada - The return journey includes a lunch stop at Laguna Colorada, the primary nesting site for three species of flamingos. Guests will be returned to Uyuni for an overnight stay at Hotel Luna Salada.

Salar de Uyuni to La Paz

La Paz - Guests will be picked up from the hotel and transferred to the airport for their return flight to La Paz, concluding the tour.
