Embarking on a trek through Cinque Terre presents an extraordinary way of soaking in the charm of this exclusive region. We’ll be enveloped by the verdant greenery of the National Park, providing breath-taking vistas of the vibrant coastal hamlets mirroring the shimmering sea. Experiencing this path offers an insight into the time-honoured tradition of wine and olive oil making, and an opportunity to mingle with the locals engaged in their olive orchards or vineyards. We might spot individuals toiling away in olive groves or transporting harvested wine grapes, either atop their heads or using the ‘monorail’ - a distinctive form of hillside transportation. Our journey will take us along cliff edges, through forests and vineyards, and past private, picturesque gardens bedecked with fragrant Mediterranean flora. It’s a venture that leads us away from the typical tourist routes, promising ample rewards at the day’s end in the form of enriched understanding of the environment, its vegetation, and wildlife.
