The service was Excellent! - Portovenere Italy and the surrounding islands are as beautiful as the Cinque Terre villages with a much slower vibe. We are so glad we did not miss what it offered. Mother Nature made the gulf rough but Our Captain, Mateo, made us feel safe. The history he shared made the outing special.

Great Guides - The people running this boat tour made it so much fun, on top of the fact that it was so unbelievably beautiful! There was music playing in between stops and the two guides’ love for their hometown was so contagious! They even gave us recommendations for the rest of our trip. It was an amazing experience :)

Spectacular boat trip! - With my husband, my sister and her husband, we took the tour which included the passage from Tinetto, Tino and Palmaria with the Captain who informed us about everything we didn't know (even though my sister and I were natives of La Spezia). At Palmaria he stopped to let us admire the Grotto and then headed to Portovenere where we stopped for 1 half hours to eat and swim behind the church. Once we got back on the dinghy we went to Lerici (behind the castle) where we went swimming off shore. Stop in Lerici (1 hour) where we went up to the castle. We had a lot of fun. From there I return to La Spezia. Our commander, very nice and talented, also added music. We would have also liked to go out with an aperitif to Portovenere bringing our 86 year old aunt, but unfortunately there were some events that didn't allow it. We will bring it into next year. Thanks to all the staff: kind, friendly and professional. I highly recommend. Thank you for the wonderful hours you gave us. We'll see you again in late spring.

Excellent boat tour - My husband and I booked this trip and were very impressed with the round trip . We spent an hour and fifteen going around the islands on the boat with our friendly guide stopping to point out the sights etc..We had the boat to ourselves which was great . We spent some time in Portovenere sightseeing and at a cafe , the time is your choice. Pick up was exactly on time and took 15 mins back to La Spezia. Heartily recommend , excellent value.

Portovenere, not Cinque Terre. - If you want explore and encounter Portovenere I highly recommend this tour. This is not Cinque Terre. This is Portovenere which is charming and lovely in its own right. The boat ride was fun and Frederico stopped and shared the history of Spezia, Portovenere and the islands. On Portovenere it is a must to visit St. Peter’s Church which used to be a Temple to Venus. There also you can admire the cliffs, the crashing waves and panoramic view. You have 3.5 hours to sight see and have lunch. They sell Pesto there and it is the best. Again this is not Cinque Terre. You can take ferries from here to Cinque Terre.

Nice excursion - The skipper was very cool! Too bad the translation was only in English which can sometimes be tricky. The boat was great and allowed us to see part of the Cinque Terre. It's a shame that only one stop (a little long) is only offered at Porto Veneré because the tour is relatively quick, despite the charm of the small streets. Without doubt the least friendly place of our stay due to tourist pressure no doubt....
