Highlights

Leh (arrival)

Leh - Arrive by flight at Leh. Welcome to Leh! Few places in India are at once so traveler-friendly and yet so enchanting and hassle-free as mountain-framed Leh. Dotted with stupas and crumbling mudbrick houses, the Old Town is dominated by a dagger of steep rocky ridge topped by an imposing Tibetan-style palace and fort.
A private car will pick you up from Leh Airport and transfer you to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel on arrival. [NOTE: Standard check-in time is 12:00 pm] The entire day is at your leisure. Relax and acclimatize to the high altitude of Leh. Dinner & overnight stay will be at the hotel in Leh.

Leh (local sightseeing)

Thiksey Monastery - After breakfast head out for local sightseeing. Visit Leh Palace built in the 17th century and the roof top of the palace provides spectacular views of the mountain of Stok Kangri and the Ladakh mountain range. Visit Shey Palace & Monastery built in 1665 by the King of Ladakh (Deldon Namgyal) as his summer retreat house. Afterwards visit Thiksey Monastery, one of the finest examples of Ladakhi architecture. This Monastery is located on the top of the hill in solitude which lies at a distance of 20 kilometers away from Leh. It is very famous for its similarity with the Potala Palace of Lhasa.
Reach back at the hotel by evening. Dinner & overnight stay will be at the hotel in Leh.

Leh (local sightseeing)

Alchi Monastery - After breakfast, head out for full day sightseeing tour; visit Hall of fame (a famed museum constructed by the Indian Army); Gurudwara Pathar Sahib (a beautiful Sikh Temple built in 1517 to commemorate the visit to the Ladakh region of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder Guru of the Sikh faith), Magnetic hill & Alchi Monastery (the artistic and spiritual details of both Buddhism and the Hindu kings of that time in Kashmir are reflected in the wall paintings in the monastery complex. The complex also has huge statues of the Buddha and lavish wood carvings and artwork — almost baroque in style). On the way also visit Sangam (the confluence of Zanskar & Indus rivers), a very picturesque site.
Reach back Leh by evening and visit Shanti Stupa a Buddhist white-domed stupa on a hilltop in Chanspa. It was built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu, Gyomyo Nakamura and part of the Peace Pagoda mission.
Dinner & overnight stay will be at the hotel in Leh.

Leh – Nubra Valley

Nubra Valley - After breakfast, drive from Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung-La Pass (18380ft) – one of the world’s highest motorable roads. The valley is located around 159 km from Leh. The route will be Leh – Phyang – Khardung La – Khalsar – Diskit – Nubra Valley.
This valley is a virgin destination for people who seek peace and interaction with the tribal community of Ladakh. The Sasser Pass and the famous Karakoram Pass of the Silk Route fame lie to the northwest of the valley and connect Nubra with Xinjiang (China). You will also see the goats that give you the famous Pashmina shawls.
Check-in at the hotel on arrival. Dinner & overnight stay will be at the hotel in Nubra Valley.

Nubra Valley (local sightseeing)

Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake

Pangong Tso - After breakfast drive from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake. This endorheic Himalayan Lake lies at a height of about 4,350 m (14,270 ft). It is 134 km (83 mi) long and extends from India to China.
Check-in to the camps which offer unparallel views of the surrounding mountain ranges and a wonderful view of Pangong Lake. Its water is salty, crystal clear, and has a lovely shade of blue. It looks its best when the sun is shining bright. The evening is at your leisure. You can also indulge in a Yak Safari.
Dinner & night stay is at the camps near Pangong Lake.

Pangong Lake – Leh

Hemis Monastery - After breakfast, drive from Pangong Lake to Leh. On the way visit Hemis Monastery, Hemis Monastery, revered as the largest monastic institution in Ladakh. It is the wealthiest Buddhist monastery in India and is famous for its rich collection of ancient remnants like the statue of Buddha made of copper, and stupas made of gold and silver. Exceptional, Once in a Lifetime experience - We did not how to go about planning the trip for Ladakh. We chose BOUT Travels based on reviews. It was the best decision we made. Kunal worked out the proposal with us and we paid in full 60+ days in advance. Kunal booked the hotels in all the places as well. Chahat contacted us two weeks before and informed us that she will manage our trip on a day to day basis. Couple of days before our arrival she sent us pictures and phone numbers of our driver Mr. Dorjay Namgial and tour guide Mr. Tundup Namgail. We were received by Mr. Irfan (local tour operator) and Mr. Dorjay our driver. They dropped us off at The Grand Dragon Hotel. Irfan collected our passports for getting necessary permits and he dropped it off later. The next day on Mr. Dorjay and Mr. Tundup was with us throughout the trip. They accommodated many of the changes we requested. We transferred money to Mr. Tundup’s account so he can withdraw cash from ATM for us. Ms. Chahat called or texted every morning with a plan for that day and wrapped up the day with another phone call. The hotels were fantastic. The Grand Dragon and The Ladakh Sarai Resort at Leh, LChang Resort at Nubra Valley and Desert Blu Cottage at Man village in Pangong Lake were outstanding. Mr. Dorjay dropped us off at the airport early in the morning. Finally, we cannot thank Mr. Tundup, and Mr. Dorjay enough. They took care of us like family. Ms. Chahat coordinated everything from the background. We had a wonderful, once in a lifetime experience. Thanks to BOUT Travels. We will give it 7******* out of 5 if we could. Exceptional trip. Thank you!

A Fabulous Trip to Ladakh! - Just concluded an amazing trip to Ladakh. Ladakh is truly a very different side of India. It looks exactly like Tibet. Apart from the stunning landscapes, the Buddhist culture and magnificent old monasteries are a once-in-lifetime experience. BOUT INDIA TOURS arranged this trip perfectly. This was not the first time I had taken a trip through them. So, I had full trust in them. The beautiful hotels built in the local architectural style were totally awesome. The guide and driver were very professional and courteous. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us good insight into Buddhism. Overall, me and my wife were very happy with the way trip was organized. We will recommend BOUT INDIA to others and definitely come back to explore more of India with them.

Once in a lifetime trip! - It was a wonderful trip to Ladakh this summer. Thanks to team Bout India for the lovely trip. Starting from the itinerary, hotels, driver & guide (Tundup), everything was perfect. Chahat, tour coordinator, would check in with me regularly to make sure everything was going smoothly & was available for any question or concern. Bout India arranged a bike (for the leh part) & a car (for the rest of the trip). The team was extremely responsive & I would highly recommend Bout India to my friends & family.

Wonderful private, customized trip to Ladakh with Bout India! - I found Bout India through a Google search after a travel agency that I had worked with in the past never responded to my inquiries about planning a private trip to India for my family of 4. From the start, Nitesh at Bout India was responsive and timely to my inquiry, worked with me to tailor an itinerary to visit Delhi/Agra and Ladakh to my family's liking. We initially worked off of the Heavenly Himalayas itinerary but as we wanted to trek for a few days, Nitesh included a few days of the Sham Valley Trek and eliminated some other elements from the itinerary. He was able to get the trip within budget with a good mix of 5 star hotels and home stays at a price that I thought was terrific value for the money. There was constant communication before the trip and we were prepared for who our drivers were picking us up in Delhi and Leh. Chahat was a great trip coordinator and helped us along the way, however the logistics were all excellent and the hotels and guides were generally top notch. (Highly recommend The Imperial in New Delhi, Lchang Nang Resort in the Nubra Valley, and Pangong House at Pangong Lake - really impressed with those selections.) Our main guide in Ladakh was Tundup and he has to be one of the best guides we've ever traveled with. He adjusted the itinerary a little, even changing the date of our visit to Thiksey Monastery so that we could visit for morning prayers. We had a separate guide for the Sham Valley Trek who was also very patient with us. We enjoyed Harry Singh for our brief time in Delhi - I wish we could have spent more time in Delhi. Himanshu, one of owners, even met us briefly in New Delhi to welcome us to India and they sent Kunal from the sales team up to Ladakh for the time we were there - we enjoyed his company as well. I've traveled the world extensively and Bout India may be the best travel agency I've worked with when you take into account communication, logistics, quality of the guides and drivers, and value for the money. My family and I were extremely happy with the trip - my children were skeptical about India at first but were thrilled with the experience and what we got to see. We felt safe and cared for at every turn. I can easily recommend Bout India without reservation to anyone planning a trip to India.

Well Organized , very helpful, everything went exactly as planned. We are thrilled with the experience we had . - Bout India Tours is a first class tour operators who provided prompt and excellent service at all times which exceeded our expectations. Transfers between airport and hotels every aspect was excellent and couldn’t be faulted. Akansha Jadon and members of Bout India Tours did a fantastic job of pulling together our trip itinerary on a short notice . We were thrilled with the experience we had in Siliguri, Gangtok, Pelling and Darjeeling. The itinerary they put together really suited our interests. Each hotel we stayed at was exceptional and everything was meticulously planned. Akansha also reacted to other requests and additions promptly and efficiently. We couldn’t have enjoyed our ten days more and this was down to Bout India Tours .
