This is a beautiful walking trail, full of endemic plants and wild vegetation. You will also have the chance to see a bird valley, an impressive water channel known as “Levada” and a striking view of Lagoa do Fogo.

An extraordinary trek leading to the heart of the Lagoa do Fogo volcano, where a stunning lagoon awaits at the base. This journey is filled with intriguing hurdles, lush flora, and for a majority of the trail, you’ll encounter a ‘levada’ (a water course) feeding the agricultural land.
This trek spans an approximate 4 hours and covers a distance of 13 km (8 miles), categorizing it as a trail of moderate to high difficulty.
