Wonderful Tour - We met Sophia, our guide, at the bustling Lagos Market. With her expertise, she navigated us through the stalls, explaining the origins and preparations of various items. We sampled an array of delectable nuts, rich olive oils, and sweet jams, each offering a taste of the local flavors. From the market, we strolled to a charming little bar, our first restaurant stop. Here, we were introduced to the delicate flavors of razor clams and a savory bifana. Each bite was a testament to the region’s culinary traditions. Our next destination was just a short walk away, where Sophia had pre-selected dishes to highlight. We savored a heartwarming fish soup and the dramatic flair of flaming chorizo, both leaving a lasting impression. Continuing our journey, we arrived at a restaurant with a stunning harbor view. Among the dishes we tried, the fried green beans stood out, along with several other delightful plates. Our final stop was a sweet ending to our culinary adventure—desserts centered around the famed Algarve oranges, offering super sweet treats that perfectly concluded our tour. The entire experience was intimate, just my husband and I, and we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with Sophia. Her deep knowledge of Portuguese history and passion for sharing it with her guests made the tour truly special. It was a lovely tour, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lagos.

Great experience! - It was a great experience! Our guide, Sophia, was wonderful, knowledgeable and fun. All the food was delicious, plentiful and most likely not things that we would have found by ourselves We went back to the market the following day to purchase items we tasted to have a great light lunch at “home”. We definitely recommend this tour.

Brilliant Tour, Ask for Sofia If You Can!! - Our classic food tour in Lagos was brilliant! We would particularly like to say that our guide Sofia was absolutely outstanding. Not only was she fun and sociable, her local knowledge was superb and made an already great tour even better. We would highly recommend taking this tour when you visit Lagos. The recommended small local bars and cafes which you would normally walk past were little gold mines, we would recommend the stingray soup in particular! The clams and pork sandwich were also very tasty, thank you Sofia for steering us to these incredible dishes! Overall, highly recommended!

Really fun and informative - This was great. The perfect way to figure out which restaurants are good and authentic vs. just tourist traps. Learned a lot about the local culture and food. Ate a bunch of things I never would have ordered on my own. Tour guide was great and they accommodated my peanut allergy well.
